October 7th update too harsh for a PvE niche (S/P) thief
From the stories i’ve heard Pistol Whip was quite an overpowered ability. I’ve never encountered or experienced it myself, but i haven’t put more then 5 hours in sPvP cos it bores me to tears.
Expect plenty of changes, good and bad, for your class consistently over the next few months. Then gradually over the years or however long this games life span is (id guess around 5 years).
Yes you are right, in sPvP Pistol Whip and Quickness have on par/more burst damage potential compared with the infamous hundred blades.
However it’s not that strong in PvE if we’re assuming a realistic scenario when you don’t have the absolutely best equips you can get in the game.
I know there are many nerfs coming for good and bad but I just decided to share my opinion on this as I couldn’t really agree on this.
And that is why GW 2 should have learned from GW 1 and SPLIT PvP and PvE skills. They nerfed so many skills in GW 1 because they were overused in PvP that they sent a great many PvE builds down the drain. And it took them YEARS to figure out that there is a difference between 4 vs 4 or 25 vs 8 as happens in many high level areas in PvE.
The rogue should have more dmg then the warrior, i dunno cause the warrior wears heavy armor.. If thief don’t do more dmg then warriors then what are they? in wvwvw warriors have a much better ranged too, the thief char is pointless, 500 gems to change the class i reckon.
Hmm, I actually like my thief in WvW. The AOE bomb (and blast finisher) and poison and area weakness are great for mob fights and clearing walls. shrugs
