I’m not sure why, but for some reason, it seems that there are certain developers that feel that Twitter is the official place to announce sudden maintenance down times.

Last I checked, (and this is the 3rd time in the last month this has happened), Twitter was not the official place. There were no in game messages that the server was coming down. There were no login messages that maintenance was coming up. And even going thru the “official” forums here in tech support, it seems others found out about the downtime from Twitter.

My suggestion – Not all of us have, nor want, to sign up for some stupid twitter account to find out ingame information. Please post this info on the login screen, or at the very least, on the official forums.

I agree, I have no need to sign up for a social site that has people telling me they are taking a number 2.

You guys have an official forums with multiple outlets and you have a log in screen please use this instead of Facebook or Twitter.

Hell even if you used your Official Wiki page it would be better than Twitter.

To be fair they did announce it twice in game but I think it’s reasonable that both of those messages could have been missed if you weren’t around to see them.
