A simple way to remedy the problem is just hold the ‘one time event’ 4 (or more) times on one day.
They will still retain the feeling of ‘things that will never happen again’ AND give people from different time zones a chance to get goodies.
The easiest thing to do is just hold the same event 4 times in one day to cater for a large large majority of players.
