No, not because “it would look cool” or because some other game has it so Guild Wars 2 should have it too. I want this because it is necessary.

The problem: Weapons are almost invisible when they are not in use, often because of clipping with armor. This is especially noticable with medium armor, which for 95% consists of long coats.

Proposed solution:
Allow weapons to be worn on back. The method how does not matter. Through a special backpack item, some kind of weapon upgrade, or a simple toggle button, I don’t care.

I think the better option would be to, instead, fix the clipping issues. There’s no need to change wear one-handed weapons are worn.

Fixing the clipping would mean moving the weapons away from the characters main body, meaning they would start clipping with the hands.
