Guild Wars 2

hi i have been playing this for about 6 months now. I played original guild wars games and loved the online community chat in it but it is absolutely terrible on here. Any chance of making it similar to roiginal games. For a start – a loukitten noise when you get a private message from someone, and also when a friend or guild member comes online. Maybe also a wee notifcation message on top left or right hand of screen. Please get a better community on here as i love the game but annoys me when i am trying to talk to someone and they dont even notice the chat or message.

I have to agree that the whole chat system is really lacking and hindering the community. From what I have seen, 1 in 3 players actively pays attention to chat until they receive a tell since it makes a noise and draws their attention.

I don’t understand why guild member/friend log in notification is…tied to loot display?

I must admit, day one I changed my chat layout and made a new tab for Guild and PM chat

There are lots of standard MMO tips GW2 could do with using, not to copy (as the MMO formula is already so diluted), just to enhance

what i miss is an active dev presence. more reply from them will make the forum more useful and the players will less qq. i want to know what the devs doing and why not what we think is important

The lack of an audible whisper notification is especially confusing to me. I looked everywhere for a setting, but after a while I just gave up assuming that there isn’t one.
