Plain and simple.
- You finish the personal quest at least once on a character
- You make an alt
- You get a popup after making choices for your back-story, asking if you’d like to play the introduction section for your new alt.

- Yes = Continue as normal
- No = Start in your race’s town at the centre waypoint, at the specific level you’d be after leaving that introduction area (i think it’s lv3). Perhaps a note from your mentor in your mailbox telling you they’ll see you around.

Reason being, I’ve gotten into making a few alts, but if I decide to roll another Norn of a different profession, the introduction never changes, so what’s it there for? Just filler.

I understand your grief here, but is the ten minutes really that bad?

LOL, I do the tutorial in about 2-3 min. You probably do something wrong that it takes you to much to get frustrated about it.. You could always skip the scenes and after thet its like killing 10-15 foes to unlock the basic 3 weapon skills.

I think intro’s are an industry standard put in place as a deterrent for gold selling spam these days. That being said, I would love the option to skip the intro.

I repeat my self, Is 10 minutes really that bad? I mean by playing that Ten minutes is that going to stop you form playing any further? I am not being rude here but you have to step back and think what is Arena Net going to ask you?

As stated before you can usually do it in 2 to 3 minutes, so is 2 to 10 minutes really that horrid you need to skip it?

Now if this was a 30 minute or 60 minute introductory I would be supporting this 100% or forgive me for saying.

If this was like World of Warcraft where you made a goblin and it was all cool the first time through but then you were pretty much forced ( with out BoA’s ) to play till level 12 or 15 before you could leave the starting area, and till then you couldn’t group or do dungeons or pvp I would also understand.

Although this is GW2 where the starting place takes you from level 1 to level 2 and your in the playable world. I just did it and took me 4 minutes to complete it all from time the personalize story started to roll till I could cue into PvP.

Just gonna put on my game designer shoes for a second and tell you that this is such a non-issue, it shouldn’t even be given any attention. It’s part of the game. If they thought it should be skipped, it wouldnt be there in the first place.
