Option to disable friendly spell effects
Bump. I like to see an option aswell to turn off all friendly/enemy spells. So I can see only mine. Its better for FPS + better view on battlefield.
With world events being back from the dead, this really needs to happen.
Amoung the gazillion fireballs, lava fields, bubbles of all colours, poisonous gas clouds and other glowy…stuff, seeing attacks like Dwayna’s tears or what basically amounts to multi one hit death at Grenth is nigh impossible even if your machine can handle what’s going on on the screen.
I can see the points here, but this would very much interfere with knowledgeable people who play combo fields to great advantage. You have to know the field is there before you hit with a finisher, and if you can’t see it that presents a problem.

So don’t turn down your graphics setting. That’s all that’s being asked for here, a graphics setting that allows you to disable other peoples particle effects. This is definately a useful feature for people.

Disable all friendly spell effects apart from combo fields then (or divide it into two options: Disable friendly spell effects, Disable friendly combo fields), not being able to see them would indeed be a problem for people who want to.
I would really like for this to happen. WvW speaks for itself, and playing anything melee during open world events that’s not a vitality toughness stacking greatsword warrior is excruciating (melandru is a good example), it’s impossible to see what the boss is doing or which way he’s even facing when +20 players unload their cannons on him, especially if there’s a sigil of fire involved (let alone multiple).
