Please give us a way to disable guardian aegis shield’s effect in PvE. It ruins the look of so many shields, and is the main reason I choose focus over shield for my guardian. Sometimes I just don’t want a little blue shield following me around.

I can understand it’s utility in WvW/sPvP (other players can see it and know the guard gets a free block) but an optional toggle that only works in PvE would be awesome.

I would love this as well, mainly because it makes taking screenshots with a Guardian who has their weapon out a pain in the butt. I love how the effect looks overall, but it just gets in the way sometimes.

I think they should just replace the aegis graphics with a blue field glowing on the shield, when a shield is equipped.

completely agree with you, they somehow know this, since I have the jade’s dragon wall shield skin, and the effects kinda fits perfectly into it, but, yes, I would like to appreciate the model without blocks

I have an aetherized shield I’m just sitting on right now, because I don’t know how it will look with the aegis. There’s no way to preview how it will look… I may end up selling the shield rather than taking the risk of equipping it and losing 60g.
