Other methods to buy GEMS
I agree, In the USA it is very common to have a creditcard, but in many country’s it is not. However as an advise to implement this without too much effort I would suggest to sell gemcards through resellers around the world. That way the local reseller can sell it to us and we have payment options common in the country where you live. After pruchasing something like e.g. a 1000 gem-card you get a code that you enter in the game at a dedicated option in the cashshop and the gems will be added to your account.

NCsoft, your parent company, has cash cards for all its P2P/F2P + cash shop games in all the major stores, why doesn’t arena net? A series of 10k ,5k, 2k, 1000 or 500 gem cards at equal values to $100, $50, $20, $10,or $5 will help us that do not want to use credit cards or are very conscious about our personal information.
Edit: missing space character/grammar.
I actually dont like to buy nothing with my credit card… thats why i want to ask for another options.
Guild Wars 2 should have prepaid card for gems in stores if they don’t have them already.
Also we need:
*50% more gems for our money
*more items in the gem shop
Where? Haven’t seen them in Walmart/Target/<insert major store here>. I.liveinteh US if that’s any consolation.

If they were intending to actually take over the gold sellers market, they would need to add a five dollar gem buy spot and you would receive1800 gems for the 5$ at the current rate of exchange.
Which means that at the current rate we would not get 50% more gems for our money, but more like 125% more gems for our money.
Gold sellers are sending mails in game all the time saying 10g for 6$, this change would pretty much make sure that no one would want to buy illegally, but in turn the gems market would Explode.
That is, if you buy gems to just turn them all to gold…the problem is that the gems change in value every minute of the day, the price you pay to buy the gems never changes, so if the amount of gems you get from your purchase reflects the current value of the gems they could easily out sell gold sellers.
They should add PaySafeCard not some over expensive Gemcards. I just saw a post today on official site that they have released those things. 2000 gem card is 29.9 euros which is more than 2000 gems in TP. Why should I spend 4.9 euros on a plastic DVD case just to get my 2000 gems? Very bad marketing move. PaySafeCards are simpler to get from more vendors than just game-shops and are cheaper

I’m 100% certain they are going to do this sooner or later, although i wonder why they didn’t do this right off the bat. Atm i want to buy gems but i won’t risk putting my card number on my computer since it got stolen at one point. if they had the option to just log into there website and pay from there i could use another computer to buy gems. Having ONE place to buy gems is kinda dumb.
