I use Orichalcum picks constantly, because I don’t want to accidentally break an ori node. However, it gets expensive to use them on things like copper and iron. I suggest that high level picks (probably just Ori) be able to produce 50 to 100 percent more materials on low level nodes.
This would have several benefits:
1: Players are encouraged to revisit low level areas for resources.
This would work especially well with cooking, which is the most interesting craft in part because it requires low level mats at 80.
2: It just makes sense.
Better quality tools can produce more usable resources from the same area in real life.
3: No need to switch tools
Switching between tools is most efficient right now, but is really annoying. It risks damaging various nodes and isn’t a fun mechanic.
