Guild Wars 2

Ok I for one like what you guys are doing as far as living story goes very creative and fun things have came from this… BUT it has been a year now and I still see all these old zones we used to love just sitting there blank. Can you plz start bringing back old zones such as (Crystal Desert, Ring of Fire Islands, Maguuma wastes/Falls. I for one had played gw1 for a long time and I miss these places and think you all should start taking the “Living Story” back to these much missed zones. Let us know what happened in these zones in the last 250 years. Bring us back to the roots of prophecies where the game used to be we all miss it and want it back. We miss Tomb of the Primeval Kings, UW, FoW. I am sure you all can find some really neat and creative ways to bring back all these old areas.

If you travel around the Gw2 map and speak to some of the Key NPC they hint towards Anet bring more maps. I believe that’s what the asuran gates are going to be used for in LA if you talk to “Krewe Leader Tylee” in LA or “The Al’Seen” in Black Citadel speaking of returning to the Crystal Desert as King of his people.

yea I have noticed all those unused portals in LA … brings me hope. I hope that’s what they are there for would be cool.

As pew pew says, if you go to Fields of Ruin I think? There is a door that’s guarding the Crystal desert and I think that it may become available in the future to go through it.

As I’ve said before though it would be really nice to explore the Crystal desert (I miss the Amnoon Oasis and Augry Rock lol) and have some nice sand storms, the cracked desert floor in the salt flats, perhaps some new creatures that we encounter with more ways to get ascended stuff maybe?

Like you OP I really miss the old areas from Guild Wars 1.

yea when I run around the world now and here the old gw1 music I miss a lot about gw1 mainly the zones and 8 mans Fow, UW, ToPK. Thing is with this game is its so amazing looking and I cant even imagine how amazing they could make the crystal desert, and some of the other zone looked in a revamped way.
