Q:
PNG Support
I’ll +1 on this, I much prefer png files to jpg.
I’m shocked more people don’t want PNG. As someone who works a lot on the web (I run a gaming blog) not having PNG’s blows and yeah I can change them in photoshop but that is an extra, unnecessary step, if they can just make it PNG-enabled.
A 5 MB BMP is still going to be around a 2-3 MB PNG whereas it’ll only be a 200-500 KB JPG. As for getting it implemented, I’d imagine it’d only be done if one of the devs had some free time and was bored.
If you want PNGs though, you could just BMP them then batch convert them using something like IrfanView.

I’m saying it would be nice to have an option to do it via the command line like we have currently with -BMP.
That being said, the batch convert is currently the only option I have and what I plan to do until they, hopefully, give us the option.
JPG is meant for pictures not graphics and often makes game screenshots look like crap, which is why I’d like PNG support.
