I have a two characters that have finished their personal story as the commander of the pact. The pact is the three Orders of tyria working together for the goal of killing Zhaitan. Since the story makes everyones character a commander then Trehearne gives full control to you at the last part of the story before the dungeon part that should make your character liked by all three orders not just one you joined at first.

The reason I am saying this is because of armor choices joining an order is not the same as cultural armor where it is just for humans, charr, etc. If your character goes through the story line and becomes the pact leader or even kills Zhaitan that character should be able to have access to all order armor not just the one they chose.

I would like to get feedback on this because it seems like the choices we were promised are not there and should be changed. I am really picky on armor style yes I like more skin on my characters I hate coats on them come on just because another game has half naked characters there is an inbetween that looks good too. I had a sin in guildwars that used a 1k set of armor mostly imperial but used a luxon top she was kurzick It still covered more than most games do but was considered naked by some come on you see more rear on a beach than my char showed in gw.

Well, my main character is still a member of the priory. Sure she is the commander of the pact (Trehearne is still the leader, not you) but all in all she is priory, yes she would look good in whispers armor… but then she should have chosen that back when she had the chance.

That said… pls pls pls Anet… no more longcoats for medium armor, they are cool an all, but we clearly want more choices. Give us more variety, also more variety for light and heavy. How come it is medium armor where it is hardest to find a set that shows a little skin? Will my sylvari ever be able to show her glowing back without stripping naked or go about in her townsclothes.

So, I am not sure about changing the orders things. But I am all for more varity for everyone.

I do like the suggestion, provided it’s after finishing the storyline (say you become an honorary member). Simply put, it puts you in a position where you may choose your path purely by checking what armor would look best. Which is particularly bad in a personal story (some armor/profession/race combos seem just not quite worth it).

(note this is just responding to the armor matter. I like that for once I’m not the almighty boss of everything, like 1 million other players, when finishing the game ).

That is not true before zhaitan he gives that up to the player as not only commander but leader of the pact. Once his quest is done restoring the land of Orr from the corruption you see him on the ship he says he has finished his quest and then tells you that you are the leader of the pact now.
