Guild Wars 2

I found the post that describes how to set your own playlist for different categories in the game, like ambient, battles, underwater, towns, etc. I love this idea but it seems like a lot of work, especially for those people that aren’t exactly computer savvy.

This would probably never happen, but I would love to see a Pandora & GW2 partnership. You could automatically select your favorite pandora station for the category, that way it would be incredibly easy to change and could even be an in-game menu.

Battles – Skrillex. Okay JK… Chiodos
Ambient – Incubus
Town – Red hot Chili Peppers
Underwater – Disney Channel (Unless I’m on my ranger, then Dimmu Borgir because all rangers are OP in water combat)

What do you guys thing? What channels would you guys choose for your categories?

I would like to have an in-game music player in general. Kind of like Cabal Online where you can listen to their music player or choose to listen to your list of songs and it would automatically get the songs from the location of your music (or where you choose).

Or provide and API hook and let the community create their own players. Don’t give it any in-game UI, only allow it to play music from a list that has to be created and customized outside the game.

Yes exactly, which is what got me thinking about the Pandora idea. My problem is that if you aren’t computer savvy then this might be a hard thing to do. I’m a procrastinator which is why I have yet to set this up. However if it were as simple as logging into Pandora and selecting a channel, I would have set it up day 1. Also makes it incredibly easy to change the music in 5 seconds, rather than creating and copy a complete new playlist
