One of the great and most advertised things about GW2 is the capability of working with friends easily no matter where they are, currently with free transfers and hopefully soon with the guest system.

I think, however, that the party limit is a bit, well, limiting. I wish there was a way to have two teams gather up. Currently the Squad needs a commander, with a rather insane price of 100g, but my concern is about smaller groups, a gathering of 7 or so friends that want to team up. If they are forced to either be on the same guild or pay a lot of attention to not get lost and not being able to track the “second team” on the map, or simply people not able to notice they left someone behind.

I think a smaller squad option to PvE at least would be very benefitial for the community and have everyone on the same page when a small group of friends is playing but dont want to involve the whole guild on it.

A team limit of 10 players / party should be enough for guilds, friends and ad-hock grouping. (2 rows of face icons or 1 row of bars, depending on the team format you choose in options – NO auto turn into simple party UI after 5 members)

or at least they could’ve implemented EvE online system adapted to GW2 gameplay: add squad commander manual (10g) and lieutenant manual (50g) to commander’s one.
Squadcom (if activated) can invite up to 2 groups of players (including squadcom himself – 11 ppl total), Lieutenant can link up several (2-3) squadcoms into platoon and commander merges several platoons into company/battalion.

Each officer (if alive) can provide some bonuses for his subordinates while they are in a range, lieutenants have wider range and commander have widest. They can select only 1 bonus of their choice that should be “invented” in their guild, maybe one of those that you get in keeps if claiming guild has proper upgrades that will work outside of said keep. Bonuses are applied to officer himself and below, so commander will have only 1 bonus for himself, lieutenants up to 2 while the rest of company can have up to 3 of them. Similar bonuses does not stack (for ex. if lieutenant and commander chose same power bonus – only 1 is applied).

War doesn’t determine who is right, only who is left.

I like to RP. My friends like to RP. We want to RP together, spam-free. Can we do that in a Tavern? No! Can we all go to Salma together? No! Can we all fit in a party together? No! Fix something
