It would be nice to have an option to pause buffs that are applied, particularly a birthday or gemstore buffs. There could be a penalty of x amount of minutes for each pause. The reason I make this request is with the Que’s for WvW right now if you are unlucky and get a disconnect shortly after popping a buff then you wasted your money cause odds are you won’t make it back into wvw before your buff wears off. If we could right click and pause them however we might lose a few minutes but the entire buff woudn’t be void cause we spent an hour in LA wait or farming in pve with a wxp booster that was giving us nothing.

An easy fix for this is simply to have a WvW buff list that is only “on” in WvW. If you log out of WvW (or DC) with 15min left on your WXP buff it should just turn off until you re-enter WvW, kind of like what happens with normal buffs when you log out of the game.

I was going to suggest something similar myself

All gemstore consumables should get a panel you access from the top-left menu, with a button between the Black Lion and Guild buttons.
Acquiring the consumable item itself puts the item in the panel.
Existing ones in bank or inventories, just like with the currency bag, would be sent to the panel when the character that have them is loaded.

Then, once in the panel, you can activate it whenever you want.
- For buffs, they would be a toggle you can enable or disable anytime with a single click. The icon would show the remaining time, look grayed when there’s no time left, bright when active, and darkened when inactive.
- For the one-time consumables, the use would be instant. Just as when you use the item in your inventory. The icon should show the number of items of that type, as if it was a stack, and look grayed if you have no more uses of that item left.
For both, you would be able to right click them and choose “buy more” and that will send you to the corresponding tab in the store.

This would solve several things:
- Consumables lying around in the bank.
- People not using item consumables because they feel like it’s a waste. They’ll be more tempted to use a resurrection orb if they don’t have to carry it with them all the time, but have it always available in the panel.
- People no using buffs because they feel like they are wasting their buffs if they decide to go something else that does not benefit from the buff. They’ll be able to enable and disable them whenever they want to. So there’s no need to hold back. Want to craft 5 items? Enable, craft, disable. Time is consumed, no time is wasted.

People would mot likely buy more more of the buffs and other items and use the ones they have if this was done.

They should definitely do this.

SUGGEST-A-TRON says:
PAY—ONCE—UNLOCKS—ARE—ALWAYS—BETTER.
No exceptions!

Don’t really care how they go about fixing it. It just needs fixed. They better not expect me to buy any buffs until the issue is addressed.

They probably figure people will just buy another one if they accidentally waste most of one. If so, that’s not very customer friendly. I hope I’m wrong.
