Permanent changes of Environments
Aetherblades has permanent content.
Aetherblades has permanent content.
I am not talking about opening new zones, but to have something in the old zones that will give a reminder of the things that happened.

What is wrong with my suggestion? Do you see anything in any zone reminding you about the molten alliance or the refugees or the consortium slaves?
The new content hasn’t started yet so you never know what they will do.
Plus, they will open the sea of sorrows zone and that is not fitting my suggestion.

Dead End Bar PoI will remain, the Bar itself, nobody knows.
What part of your suggestion does not pertain to the future? Aetherblades is part of the living story and will contain permanent content.
They’ve already been doing that. F&F added a couple of “town” instances (the Hatchery & Craigstead) and Southsun changed quite a bit.
With that said ANet has also recognized things like the F&F dungeon should be preserved in some way which is why it will probably become a fractal at some point. But it was their first go around with this idea and now that they have a better idea of what players like & want and what it takes for them to create the content I suspect as the Living Story continues on you’ll see permanent additions make up a greater mix of the LS content.

I’m guessing people like being argumentative. I guess it’s more exciting then people just agreeing with each other in anycase.
As for your original post, agreed. The issue with the living story currently is that it’s not adding to the world as a whole. Think of the Living world events being a step forward and when the event is done you take a step back to where you where. Sure ANet is adding a few small things with their living story events (like moa racing…) but I don’t feel really like the world is growing in a noticable and meaningful way. I want new content, in a year I want to see a game with a wealth of permanent content not a series of small changes. Now I’m not saying living stories need to be permanent but rather that they should lead into permanent content. Molten alliance story leads into a new dungeon and new world events and mobs etc.
