Guild Wars 2

I’m creating this thread for community feedback. I’m assuming these changes aren’t likely to happen in Vanilla GW2, but in the eventual expansion i anticipate more Personal Story chapters.

I would like to see more personal chapters evenly interspersed with world chapters in my PS.

For instance, i took the character creation options of being a Commoner, my regret was that i never found my sister’s body, and i follow the god of Truth, Justice, and the Krytian way

I’d like to see more of my commoner friends, maybe some important news that brings me back home on purpose: someone gets sick and needs a cure only found in a far off land. Maybe my sister rejoins the military and gains recognition, enough to join the Order i’m a member of, or maybe an Order MY Order is opposed to (philosophically speaking) (Vigil>Whispers>Priory>Vigil) and end up having some sibling rivalry. Maybe my sister ends up becoming possessed by an old monarch of Orr and starts leading a sub-faction of Risen against Zhaitan, but causes just as much damage in her wake as the rest of them.

I’ve not finished my PS yet, but i’m loving it so far. I’m hoping for a heart wrenching reunion with a Risen member of the Order i’m in…

So, what PS events would you guys like to see happen in future installations? I’ve tried to make mine as spoiler free as possible, and i suspect many others would appreciate that, so let’s try to be as spoiler free as possible.

I want to see the option to represent our human characters’ origin better. There was a dialog for setting whether your character was krytan, ascalonian, elonan, or canthan during one of the beta weekends that seems to have disappeared.

I kind of understand that only returning players would really care or know enough to make these choices atm, but it was still a nice piece of back story that I would have liked to keep.

I want to see Trahaerne pull a Vizier Khilbron in one of the later chapters.

It’s already established a lot of the playerbase hates him, so why don’t we beat him up?

I ran into the character origin dialog during the pre-release or shortly thereafter.

That would have been a great opportunity for the character creation, maybe replacing the useless “god” option.

On that note, i’d like to see some of those choices that haven’t been shown in the PS so far made more important later plot-wise, or maybe gain a specific set of skills based on those choices. Currently humans can access prayers and become avatars of different gods regardless of the choice they made at creation.

This could be a powerful option for some cross-profession style utilities. How about an Ash Legion Warrior with the ability to turn invisible for 5-10 seconds as a utility?

And what about the church in this game? You’ve got 6+ gods in the pantheon and we do nothing for them. I’ve not talked to a Priest/ess since i became Hero of Shaemoor. You’d think there’d be more to do, helping the poor, finding lost children, feeding the hungry, other acts of charity befitting a noble hero.

I’d like to see some cross interaction with the different factions in the PS or DE. I’ve run into some, but not much. The orders are not nearly as global in their operations as they first appeared to be.

I’ve seen some of the Priory around, but i’d like to find some hidden Whispers agents in the bushes or something. I’ve not been everywhere, so this might be the case already…
