So I was thinking this over because I actually put some time in making my human thief’s personality scoundrel and my charr warrior’s personality barbaric because that’s what I wanted them to become. I hoped my charr warrior would feel like the guy that was really feeling like he would crack your skull if you mess up a mission and my thief would be the guy who would only help for personal intrests using these really clever and shady lines in the cinematics. Yet all I noted during their storyline (haven’t completed it on my thief yet) was that it gave a small extra option when talking to some npc’s in the world.

I know alot of people just skip the dialogue but certain people watch it because they want to know the story me being one of them. So I made some improvements on how I think this personality could make the story feel alot more personal.

- Remove/add certain lines to the dialogues during missions.
- add more people/options in the world that can be affected by a certain personality.
- make it possible in certain mission to do something differant fitting your personality (not skipping content)

Maybe in the future Anet will consider this I certainly hope they will.

Note: I do not know if a certain topic about this is made already also this is from a personal experience on 2 characters your expierencie may be differant. sorry for my bad English grammer.

I would like an addition where your personality could also more than just dialogues, for instance vendors:
Any vendor would have some affinity and some, let’s call it hate, towards some given personality (and probably indiference towards the rest). So if my characters personality is the one the vendor likes, he’ll probably offer me a discount, but if he hates me probably would charge me extra, not something so big but maybe +/- 5-10%.

I support this suggestion. I think it would add value to our choices and allow for greater role-playing and immersion.

I don’t understand why the options for “Personality” are even there, in it’s current form, if it does absolutely nothing as it is.

It changes dialogue options. I’ve seen this from doing similar quests on different toons with different personalities. It’s nothing earth-shattering…unless you are role-playing or immersion player…in which case, I imagine it’s fantastic.
