Petition to Kill Logan Thackery
unattainable? Read some of the subtext. Listen to the conversations of the locals in Divinities Reach.
I will not say any of it as it would spoil it But there is more to Logan Thackery’s feelings than Rytlock’s blinkered view of Logan.
All I hear is women swooning over him… BUT in CM story mode she is the coldest fish to that sap. I haven’t seen anything indicating she is into that goof, if you simple say she is, then you need to post video proof or dialog or something.
She’s definitely keen on him in the book.

I will not post proof, why would I spoil the content for others? It is in the game, you just have to find it. :-)
Not wanting to sound like a scrub sorry if I sound that way.
Hit the / key when in DR, you hear more conversations that way than simply charging around
Ok fair enough…
I still vote yes for death…
If he let the Queen die, then the Charr and Humans would still be at war, and many more would die on either side. Just keep that in mind.
Read Destiny’s Edge for more…
Well technically, the queen saved the day with hardly any assistance anyway…

(Pssst! ‘Petitions’ are against the forum rules!)
All I can say about Logan is that the guy should put some babies inside Queen Jennah, because shes not getting any younger and we need a heir, unless she plans on turning Kryta into a republic or something.
After that he can die or retire or whatever he wants.

Heh yeah , wish they gave us players one chance to cut Logans head , i would make it count.
He is the sole reason i already dislike human story begin, just keep skipping everything and rush that.
I dislike Logan for a reason different than the rest, in the __ dungeon he once again abandons his friend over what he feels was a slight against him…
He needs to put on his big boy pants and stop feeling like the world is out to get him. If he’s going to stick by his decision then do so and stop letting it get to you… People will always dislike you for a choice you make as long as you’re confident you made the right one then who cares what they think.
No one besides Logan has that problem and just shows how much of a kitten he really is…
And then Arah Story Mode comes up and Logan is a good guy again.
Logan Thackery was fine in the book, but his one dimension in the game is complete doofus.
[ART] Gate of Madness
Also, just throwing this out there, in the book Logan abandoned his friends to die in order to save Jenna, and in the end not only did she NOT need saving, she saved HIM. He abandoned Destiny’s Edge, quite literally, for NOTHING.
OFF WITH HIS HEAD!
And let Zojja do it.
I’m going to go against popular (read: Charr) opinion and say that Logan is actually my favourite out of all of Destiny’s Edge. Nobody’s perfect and he’s a pretty good example of that.

Yeah he doesn’t jump in the balloon to travel into air battle with the dragon until late in the game…
BIG HERO.
Id love to beat him to death with a certain sylvari’s severed head.
….I’ve never seen so many people favor Logan. Personally from my experiences, this is literally the first time I’ve seen anyone who doesn’t think he’s the weakest link in existence. I’ve always avoided making a Human character because of him, I mean really… what’s it like leveling as a race who’s Hero was the only one who missed role call?
…kind of sucks, cause my Achievements really want me to make at least one human.
I find this proposition amusing on many levels, but mainly because it does hit a chord with me. I personally can’t stand Logan Thackery. I find his constant doting over Queen Jennah and his cry baby attitude more than a little irritating. And the fact that he looks just like Tom Cruise in The Last Samurai only hurts his image.
I never had a problem with logan, he seems over dramatize on certain situations. what I dislike is why does he not EVER use his infinate healing sphere on you not once. His heal sphere stays up on the very first scene on creating your character, but he never uses it, and he dies awfully fast in some situtions for his ancient rank. I was surprised what Caithe wand up being. You will see. Not gonna spoil it.

I don’t really hate Logan per se . . . he was interesting while I was doing my first two chapters of my human’s personal storyline. After we got into things concerning Destiny’s Edge?
I wanted to dope-slap him with a warhammer. And Rytlock too. And punt Zojja off Mount Maelstrom. The childish bickering was neat for exactly five minutes when they got back together, and I thought the story mode dungeons would have them reconciling . . . no, instead we have Logan/Zojja where they snipe at each other without talking TO each other, we have Eir/Rytlock where Rytlock dumps his crap on her . . . and we have Sorrow’s Embrace where Zojja goes into raging psycho ex mode.
Despite this, I get that they’re supposed to be complex characters and have deep wounds over what happened in “Edge of Destiny” but . . . wow. This was “King Adlelbern after Nolani Academy” levels of “I want to beat some sense into you with a cluehammer”.
Ironically, people would still hate him if he were just the standard, run of the mill, save everyone and put myself last type of hero too. At least this way he’s a believable character. I still like him
Plus c’mon, Guardians!

I was impressed with the writing in CM story mode because Jennah is very competent as a politician. She knows the Ministry is not on her side, and she has to make nice with them regardless, even while Logan—with the best of intentions—is willing to openly run around accusing people of plotting and treason. It’s best seen in the end, whereJennah appears to take Caudecus's side against Logan, inviting him to stay with her. In actuality, that was a brilliant move, and it threw Caudecus off visibly: there's no way he could refuse Jennah's very generous offer without casting suspicion on himself, and she cut off any ammunition he might have had to harp on her relationship with Logan. She gets to keep an eye on him, all while coming out smelling like a rose and putting him in a position of not being able to act openly against her without making himself look bad (remember, this is partially a battle of public opinion). Her conversation with Logan after that shows that he's sticking around spinning his wheels when she can surely handle herself at home this time; it parallels the fight against Kralkatorrik, except this time Logan _must_ go to his friends and Jennah is explicitly telling him he's needed more urgently with them.
Edit: There’s also this bit of dialogue which is pretty telling, if you ask me. (Thanks to my wife for the screenshots and her obsessive documentation of everything plot-important NPCs in the human storyline have ever said. :P)

You know who I want to put a knife through? Rytlock. The story mode of AC is all the reason I needed. Every single freaking boss fight played out like this:
Boss Ghost: You are not welcome here. Leave.
Eir: Please, hear us out. We seek the sword’s power.
Rytlock: SHUT UP WOMAN, I HATE GHOSTS, GHOSTS ARE STUPID, DIE YOU ECTOPLASMIC BUTTFACE
EVERY SINGLE TIME

^ this… logan doesnt annoy me so much (in the avatars dream thing he actually sounds like hes trying to convince himself more than rytlock – obviously because he made the wrong choice… not bad, just wrong) i want to kill rytlock everytime he opens his snout… muzzle… mouth…
80 warr [Blaze Steelsoul], 80 ele [Blaze Nightstrike], 80 mesmer [Grim Shatterwhirl]
80 guard [Dusk Grimlight], 80 engi [Flintgear]
Oh go all of them will make you hurl…
Rytlock is over compensating and buthurt over logan.
Zojja acts like she wants to make things right to defeat the dragons but throws a tantrum when she sees Eir.
Eir is pretty much and emo chick with very low self-esteem issues.
Logan is well besides badly written very protective over his love who he can’t be with because the ministers arent his biggest fans.
Caithe is a trap she is still angry over her ex and really fails at trying to understand the emotions of others…
Basically you the player or cooler and sane
Yeah all the characters have issues…
Too bad all of them behave like 4 year olds…
I still vote Death to Logan.

There’s just no point to the whole Destiny’s Edge. Unless of course someone wants to show us examples that we shouldn’t follow – but then there would be no reason in trying to get them together again.
…well, it’s not like there IS any reason besides “because we, the scriptmakers, tell you so”.
Logan is propably the worst of the whole five, that’s true, but it’s not like the others are much better.
Remember, remember, 15th of November
I’d like to see destiny;s edge far more fleshed out through the next few expansions (so they actually feel the GW2 version of Mhenlo and co). But maybe Logan killing himself to protect another group member would be good? redeeming even?
Yes.
Emo chump in a suit of armor needs to die.
I’d rather we kept him and got rid of Trahearne.
Logan has quite the sense of humor if you do all three options of human, which is more than I can say of some (Caithe has serious ‘kill them all’ issues, Eir never cracks a joke that I can remember, while Zojja cracks jokes she also comes off as an 8 year old brat).
Logan made a bad choice, but it was a relatable one…also remember the type of government that exists for the humans. The Queen is what holds humanity together right now, if she dies quite a huge chunk of the unity that exists would falter and we would see warring human factions. The crown is a person that is irreplacable in the fuedal society, which is what Rytlockittenerally cannot understand due to absolutely no one being irreplacable in charr society. It really is that simple.
Also…every dungeoun I have ever ran that had logan in it, he always out survived everyone. Even in the Zhaitan fights he simply out survives others (had him tank entire fights against 2 of the first 3 bosses several runs, his heal bubble is used when certain conditions are met apparently).
Of them all, Zojja is the one I dislike the most, but then I am biased…I really hate the midgets. The only one I honestly like 100% is Efut of the Vigil haha.
Also, as someone said above me, Rytlock’s entire bearing in the first dungeoun rather sums up his primary malfunction…
I like logan, however Eir is my favorite…I just wish there was a body type for male norn that made them look more human/normal in proportion so… so many armors wouldn’t look just absolutely rediculous on them!
^OP Nice try, Rytlock…
Zojja is my fave.
I understand Logan’s predicament and his regrets/stuff but I wish he could solo a separatist sniper.
I vote no. Don’t kill Logan.
Kill Trahearne instead.
