Place a CAP on Condi Duration Reduction
I disagree. Condition damage is armor ignoring damage. That is the plus above regular damage. Condition builds where allready very powerfull specially in PvP and actually got more powerfull. Guardians lost one condition remover from pure of voice (only one removed anymore) and gained purging flames for 20% short duration. It’s a fair trade off.
Don’t make this game too easy. It’s not supposed to be hit button once and win.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!

Condition damage is unaffected by armor, yes but it’s a damage over time and completely removable so still much much inferior when compared with direct damage. You can’t remove direct damage like a condition damage right ? And condition damage doesn’t deal it’s full damage instantly like a direct damage attack. Direct damage is already op when you compare it with condition damage. Plus they can reduce condition damage duration up to 100% is an overkill. Sadly, I agree with the original poster. Condition damage already has so many flaws, duration reduction as an addition to these flaws is an overkill. or maybe they should allow us to reduce incoming physical damage stacking up to 100% ? So many direct damage using players would complain just like this post.
How do I reduce the condition duration up to 100%?
Food and runes only give -65% duration.

Generally I’d accept this suggestion, but the current implementation of condition duration is an addition of + duration and – % duration. If they multiplied, I’d request a cap of – 50 condur since you can only stack up to + 100% condur.
But even with – 100% condur an attacker with + 50% condur will deal 50% of his original damage.

Its easier to remove conditions than it is to ignore direct damage, also condition stacks have a cap making them rather weak compared to dd. I’d say let conditions shine a little more, there are a ton of counters to them.
break. I feel like they should be back by now..”

The Dogged March trait reduces chill, immobilize and cripple by 33%.
These are cumulative with food, and runes. So in total, you remove 98% uptime of chill, immobilize and cripple and 65% of the others.
Effectively, given that you basically divide each time by 50, you’re immobilized for not even a tenth of a second, which is entirely neglectible, hence the exageration to 100% in the above post.

I´m aware of that trait but the posts were about damaging conditions.
You don’t see perma 100% damage reduction except for condition damage.
Plus they can reduce condition damage duration up to 100% is an overkill.
