I stood around for at least 30 minutes waiting for Shadow Behemoth to show last night in GoM, along with at least 20 other people. I danced a little, slept a little, defeated some shades and aataxes, and eventually left… I’m not sure the boss ever showed.
I started thinking later on that it might be fun to have player initiated mini-games for times like these, when a big group is gathered around waiting for an event to start. Silly but entertaining kids’ games like freeze tag, hide and go seek, or dodgeball. Or some kind of GW2 equivalent, invented by the devs.
It could be a group event triggered by activating some physical thing nearby, or it could be triggered with a consumable. Just a thought!
It would be more fun than standing around.
