Guild Wars 2

OK, its official that player housing is something they have in development for a future release.

What sort of functionality would you like in this player housing? What Ideas do you have on the implementation of player housing? new zones, an instance within a city or in the game world?

What cool features do you wanna see? This is our chance to effect the development of some of our future content!

My suggestions are this -

I think that with the amount of players per server instance or new zone housing is the only way forward..

I would love to see “HOOKS” in houses or if not hooks for all ingame items u may want to put there then an interface of some kind that lets us put stuff wherever we want it..

One major thing is that I would like to be able to put my ascalonion suit of armor on a training dummy or something similar within my house grounds…

I would love to have a garden where maybe I can plant some seeds for my cooking, or just to have pwetty flowers!

There is so much lovely artwork in this game, I would love to have this on the walls of my mansion

I would enjoy some functionality in my house and a quest chain to get it.. like a vault, a trading post, etc etc… Actually there are some cool functionality options we could have here..

My mini’s could roam free in my house and have cool fun interactions

Maybe some quest chain rewarded boon items like an altar to my chosen god or somesuch..

I have many more ideas but ill leave you guys to add some

I would like to see racial housing.. Also the housing should not be too far removed from the main game world, maybe some instance doorways in each town

When you complete a zone you could get a little framed map of it to put on your wall. Also I’d like to display armour and weapons and something to show dungeon progression, like a souvenir from each dungeon cleared. Essentially some variation of a GW1 HoM, but with your GW2 stuff. Maybe a special antiques display for people who have a GW1 HoM as well.

Oh about the racial housing, if I recall correctly the housing was going to be added to your home instance, so it should be correct for each race since it would be in your capital.

Ahh I see! I see why they want to add it to your home instance but I think that restricts it such a great deal! I would prefer a quaint little cottage by a stream
