Please Make Trait and Ability Tooltips Better
Yeah know the stuff you’re talking about… Air skill on staff called Gust says it would knockback enemies in front of you when it only affects single target.
And the Glyph of renenwal says it wil revive an ally (or allies) when all it will do is Rally players nearby.
Lots of tooltips brought up lots of times and nothings been done about them. Eager to see them take a day to go through these, sometime.
Some of these are probably bugs still from day 1. Some tooltips are just vague or misleading in general. Some don’t really say anything, or use terms for things that were changed back in betas… all true. But hey…some of the traits don’t actually do ANYTHING at all… so, they go a lot of stuff on thier plate with just making everything function. Tooltips are probably not thier priority yet.
Why? Gives needed gear…
Why do you need this gear? To do dungeons… duh.
I agree completely. GW1 eventually gave full details about skills and stats (though I seem to remember launch having a similar situation. Memory is hazy so please correct me if I’m wrong), so I have faith ANet will bring that same level of descriptiveness to GW2 when they have time. For someone who loves numbers and accuracy, like myself, knowing the finer details will only enhance the game for me.
Do this for everything really. Sigils of water just says “x chance to heal allies.” Does that mean every time you attack? Every time you use a skill? Just standing around? Is there a cool down? Does it affect you like other effects that says allies? I had to go do some research and learned it was on critical hits and only works on allies and not yourself, which renders it useless to me, while I was trying to figure out exactly how it worked for 40 levels. Keep in mind this game has terminology that makes decision very literal, like Magic: The Gathering. A “Block” is not the same as an “Aegis” or “Invulnerability”, Despite them essentially doing the same thing. It’s very important we know if a trait, skill, rune, or sigil is affected by one of these and not the other. Same goes for crit, burning, damage, skill use, ability use, kill, hit, etc.
Makes me wonder actually about the rune of the citadel.
5% chance on hit to summon a bomb.
That is the description.
Try deciphering what on earth that could mean…
Is there some ability in GW2 called “Low hanging Fruit” or some other reason to title this thread after the name for lynching a black man in the US south?
JAH Bless – Equal Rights and Justice for all.
Justice And Honor – Tarnished Coast.

Uhmm. What?
I’m from the UK, I’ve never heard of this phrase being used that way.
It simply means, something that can be solved easily and quickly.
World English Dictionary
low-hanging fruit
— n
1. the fruit that grows low on a tree and is therefore easy to reach
2. a course of action that can be undertaken quickly and easily as part of a wider range of changes or solutions to a problem: first pick the low-hanging fruit
3. a suitable company to buy as a straightforward investment opportunity
Seems like the title implied that the devs were lazy and had to be changed.
Sorry about that.
