Right now we have no idea when our contacts come online. I constantly have to check by opening the window. If you could put a little blue icon that shows the number of our contacts that are online (similar to the icon showing the number of mail that we have) that would help so much. It seems like such an oversight as it is right now.

Or at the very least have a message pop up telling us a contact has come online, something, anything.

If you enable “game messages” (if i remember correctly) in the chat (right click on the chat tab), it will tell you when a contact comes online. It will also display other things like what you loot … depending on your preference this may be useful or cluttering.

I get notifications each time one of my contacts go on/offline (it’s a bit annoying when they change characters, since the game considers that a logout — you get “Tenicord is now offline. Tenicord is now online. Tenicord is now offline. No, wait, s/he’s online. Sorry, apparently s/he just changed characters again.”)
