I really wish I could inspect other players. Games like anything else are viral and in the past many of the reasons I either started playing a class or ran a particular dungeon is because I saw an item on another player I wanted so I did the research to find out where it came from.

That’s ridiculous … What if I want to quietly look at the stats on something. This is not a difficult thing I’m asking for and I think most people are on my side of the line on this one.

and besides a lot of people just use the skin of a gear overwriting the stats of gears of choice.
for example i use a tier 1 sylvari cultural armor as skin, but my equipment is far way better than that…

Not wearing ascended infused rings? Kick.

Wearing less than exotics? Kick.

Wearing Magic find? Kick.

Great tool to get those parasites and leechers away.

I agree, who says that magic find gear and gear less than exotics makes you a better player? They don’t improve your dps/armor.

Agreed.

Inspection causes well-geared players to make fun of players who have yet to have gear.
- Sure, there are nicer players
- Sure, not everyone does this
- BUT, the ones that do are like a plague that hurt the overall mental health of the community.

Not being able to inspect is far more realistic in my opinion.
While it can be frustrating to not know where an interesting item came from, it encourages me to be more social, put myself out-there, and do something most people can’t drum up courage to do for hours: Ask.
