The legendary precursor I need is currently at 348g. That is simply un-affordable. I make great coin in game at 10g-20g per day. Even at this rate of income I can’t even keep up with the inflation currently occurring. One week ago this weapon was selling for ~200g.

The players dictate the price based on supply and demand and what can be afforded. There are probably multiple factors involved including:

Extreme rarity.
Possible monopoly by those who made a fortune off the karma weapon bug allowing them to determine market price.
Players purchasing gold illegitimately off gold sites – funded by botting.
Botters themselves using multiple accounts to make amounts not normally obtainable by normal players.

I think a fix would have to include rectifying the bot situation which is causing inflation by injecting cash in to the economy as well as possible adjustments to rarity.

This issue is compounded by the bugs in Orr causing events to not spawn limiting karma and gold income.

At current prices and inflation you can’t buy one ever unless you either cough up $1200 IRL or buy gold from gold sites (bannable – do not do this). Unless of course you know a way to farm more than 10-20g per day.

I would be surprised if Arenanet intended this to be the situation.

Here are many ways like farming event with full MF gear (200%+) and sell rares on TP. You usualy get around 10-20 rares in hour and sell one for 15-20s. All white loot just salvage and vendor blue and green. There drops also lots valuable items like dublons. 20g per day isnt problem.
You can also make that precursors from rares/exotics in mystic forge and sell them. I dont try it yet by my friend make usualy 500-1000g per day by this way.

Lolz, They are called legendary weapons for a reason. They take forever to make. Get over it. People need to stop complaining. If it were easy to get them, Everyone would have one. Then they would be worthless. Which would suck. If you want a cake walk game where the company hands you everything. Go someplace else please. We don’t need that kind of player base here.

You can disregard this thread. I found a post where arena net acknowledged that prices maybe an issue and seem to be watching and willing to step in to make changes.
