Please fix those fake pickups (sprint)
they are so annoying, could be in 2nd place all race and the first place guy is spamming these everywhere like has an infinite supply of them
2nd place player does not get nearly enough grounded to deal with the fake powerup onslaught they are subjected to.

They are absolutely broken, I agree. That is my #1 reason I love being in first place in SS and hate being anywhere else (especially second place). And its also the reason I refuse to use them at all when I am in first place.
They knock you back (almost always off a ledge if the lead player places them “well”, which loses you a TON of time), are unavoidable by any means except Grounded when placed on any somewhat narrow pathway which there are a lot of (can’t dodge through them or prematurely detonate them), remove all your power ups when they hit you (WHY?!) and you get a ton of them when you’re in first (or even 2-4 really).
Personally, I would change them to the following…
~ Not placeable in the air
~ Immobilize for 2 seconds instead of knockback
~ No more removing power ups when you get hit by one
For people that are familiar with Sanctum Sprint it pretty much comes down to about the first 20 seconds and who gets to the fakes first. If you get an ‘aspect master’ from the first bag out of the gate, use it, then get lucky and get one from second bag along the way it’s all over. Get to the first fake, dash and drop it just as you pass through the first water fall, and then coast to the end as log as you spam fakes. Works for me every time. So, yes, the fact that the person in first gets a fake from every bag they hit is a bit OP.
