Please give champions better drops?
I agree there should be a worthwhile reason to fight them, god knows without a handy zerg there’s no incentive to fight them, as other events give better and faster exp, gold and karma. So count me all in, currently I ignore 99% of champions.
Yep, I vote for it as well. Though I believe ANet has realised this problem as well and they are working on a better lootsystem (a more rewarding one).
A champion should atleast drop an exotic. Or some T6 mats . . . with 2 – 5 gold.
Would be nice if those roaming champions meant something. Idk if a stack of lodestones is reasonable but maybe 1 or 2 guarunteed, cores for lower mobs, shards for even lower, etc. I wouldn’t expect a lvl 30 champion to drop a lodestone.
break. I feel like they should be back by now..”

My post was obviously exaggerated. Mabye Champions should drop something that doesn’t end in an inflation of gold, but more or less bring some personal goody. I have Tokens/Rare-Salvage-Kits/Items of BL-Chests/Food-Buffs and similar things in mind. Something which you use frequently or to get an advantage, but are not sellable to prevent that inflation.
And for sure as an additional drop, something that is sellable. T6 drops, higher chance of rare items, lootbags/coin-bags, minipets etc. etc.
So far these suggestions for loots are a little too hopeful.. You guys realize the world bosses only drop a guaranteed rare right? And if you look at how often people are killing champions in Queensdale, you can quickly see how getting those kinds of drops that often is way too much.. I’d vote for maybe an increased chance at getting a rare (not 100% obviously, but maybe 30% chance), but anything more would make champions way too good of a way to make money.

Scale the loot to the level of the champion. Champions in low-level areas are too easy, so they shouldn’t have the same rate as an 80’champion.
Thanks for the feedback, I was worried this thread wouldn’t get noticed at all.
To NinjaEd: Obviously we shouldn’t expect Lv30 champions (either from events or roaming) to give a lodestone, more likely some fragments or shards. Lodestones should be from high level champions (probably 70-80) if at all. Still a good point, a lodestone from a Lv30 would be going too far..
To Empathetic Fighter: Your suggestion also helps too, since not all champions would be enemies that would make sense to have the slivers/fragments/shards and so on. Giving a small stack of loot bags, more coin, or even a minipet (or some other special drop) would make them something more than just an enemy with a lot of HP.
To SvenskNavi: Well, I don’t really know how fast people kill champions in Queensdale since I don’t hang out there much, but as Empathetic’s reply to that was, the loot should be scaled based on the level of where it’s at. I wouldn’t expect the boar or troll or bandit leader or that queen wasp to drop some rare slivers, perhaps a small stack of low level materials or loot bags. That would be better?
Ugh, sorry for all the text, again. >.>
As someone who likes killing champions just for my own smug satisfaction i’m definitely in favour of champs, scaled by level ofc, to have better drops.

Lol, no…
I’m an average player and for this month Monthly I’ve solo more than half the champs for it.
If they dropped that kinda reward people would just farm them and trust me, it would have a big impact on the economy.
Back when the Karka queen attacked LA the Dusk was around 80 gold, just an example
