Right now we have dynamic events, that make the game feel like a single player game, (no i dont want to move to another server, and no you shouldnt have to, also no i dont have the gold to craft my way to 80, you shouldnt have to, ALSO no i shouldnt have to WvW my way to 80) How about letting us buy a voucher through gems to make us 80? because i really prefer to level through the world, but as it stands, nobody does dynamic events in lower level areas no more…..sure you have 5-6 people here and there…..THATS IS NOT THE POINT THOUGH, it isnt any fun. My main (warrior) was a blast to level…..why? because there were lots of people around doing ALL the events…..Would really like to get my guardian to 80 someday arena net…..but the zones are so naked and boring i can’t even force myself to complete anymore heart quests, there become just as bad as wow quests, because theres nobody around to do them…..

Buying your way to 80 doesn’t help you learn your class . This is the only game i know of where you could sit in a level 1 zone and go from Level 1-80. (why anyone would do that is beyond me though ) There are more ways to get to 80 than you can shake your fist at . How about instead of complaining give some ideas on how to fix the problem .

I can attest to this from having 4 80’s and starting on my 5th. The problem isn’t really the ways to reach 80. There’s already plenty, the problem becomes getting everyone interested in leveling alts or going back to lower zones.

Give achievements for going back to lower zones ie (getting 5 alts to 80) get guild influence through letters of recommendations or achievement titles like “Altoholic” – just throwing out some ideas. Something that would make you want to go back to lower level zones.

Fractals caused a good chunk of the population to remain in Lion’s Arch since it gives the players the highest tiered gear in ascended. Maybe combining “UnderFlow” servers for people leveling alts.

The Wintersday Airship over each city is a good idea since it moves from time to time. Why not a world event chain that goes from area to area – similar to that of the Halloween scavenger hunt.

There’s not much reason for an 80 to go into low level zones – farm copper ore/do dynamics? People will go where the loot/money is – right now that’s dungeons/fractals/Black Lion Trading Co.

Ya op I don’t agree at all. I find plenty enough people in low lvl zones unless its really late or early and people are sleeping. And there are hearts, map completion, dungeons, and crafting. Oh and what about personal story? Half a lvl worth of xp per mission.getting a character to 80 is easy. Buy some food to assist you and speed up if you want to. some events are easy and some require more people. Some event need to be done only by skilled players or large groups. It’s not forcing you to solo. Some days more people are in other zones specially with holiday events up it draws people away from lacking their alts.

OP stop this is one of the easiest games to hit cap on theres plenty of ways to do it. and aside from that its not grindy at all u can casual it and still hit cap fairly easy.

If you want you can level up to 80 in less than two weeks, being lazy and not want to do anything the game is about, well, then this aint your type of game. Leveling is extremelly easy and fun, I leveled my elementalist all in personal story and pve, my thief in some pve and wvw.

If you don’t want to do wvw, craft, do pve, events, dungeons, personal story, then sorry o.O

Set up this achievement: complete the world.

You will be lvl 80 before you explore and complete 50% of the map…

Pffft, no. I’m sorry, but reaching max level in an MMO is supposed to take a while. It’s an achievement to be earned, not bought.
Granted, I understand your concerns about not having enough players around to do events — that can happen, and it will be a challenge for ArenaNet to fix that. However, the solution is NOT to simply allow people to skip playing the game.
Kosmos’s “Underflow” server idea sounds interesting, as are some of the other solutions people have suggested. Getting people to keep visiting low-level zones on a regular basis is a worthy goal, and we’re certainly not going to achieve through Pay-to-Win purchases.

I could have been 80 three months ago.. I just last week got to 77 on my main.

I am having a hard time slowing down the leveling process

You can already “buy” your levels with gold/gems, via crafting. If you don’t have the gold, convert your gems and buy mats to level with. Each crafting discipline will give you 10 levels, which will get you to 80.

Like others have said you can basically buy your way to 80 already. Just takes a small amount of effort rather than an insta win button.

I’d personally love the old setup I used in the last game I played (adjusted for this one of course):

1. An armor set that scales with the players level until level 70.
2. The vendor is invisible to all below level 80.
3. The armor set can only be purchased with karma.
4. The armor set will have non-game changing scores on it for the purposes of leveling.
   (Power/toughness/vitality)
5. The armor set would have +%experience per kill or per event to help increase the leveling process.
6. The bonus to xp on the armor would stop working at level 70

This way Alts may be leveled with ease.

Well, I don’t know if making leveling more easier would be the solution, but if you could get exp from Competitive pvp, it could spice things up a ton. I myself really love Competitive pvp in gw2, but I don’t really love wvw and pve that much. I think if you could get exp from competitive pvp, we would have one more route to level and thus it would suite everyone better.

Have you ever tried using map chat? Just last night we blasted our way through a few champion dynamic events. I mean so what if only 5-6 people show up? It’s still enough people to complete the event and if completing the event is not fun for you I don’t understand why you are complaining in the first place. You don’t have to have 60 people in the area trying to take down the Claw of Jormag for it to be fun…..

Well. Not all crafting is a gold sink. For instance: 1-400 cooking can be done on 2g (there-abouts), 110 karma and 15 minutes of your time. You don’t even have to leave Lions Arch. Am I lying? No, because I did it and then did it for my boyfriends character
Jewelcrafting is also a really fast levelling craft with small cost attached.

I levelled a Guardian from 1-80 with a few pieces of AC gear (because I was running AC each day on my warrior) within a week. It’s not hard at all to level.

Please don’t misunderstand this: You actually have to do a thing called work in life. For most things.

The game is designed so you must vary your interests in order to well effectively.
Personal story, Dynamic Events, Crafting, etc..

For players who don’t want to – There is running dungeons.

Yes lets just make it so the wealthy gamers ( the kids mainly living off of mom and dad ) can buy 8 characters at level 80. That is like buying a console game gettign home and punching in a code then playing and 2 seconds later the end credits roll. yes part of the game is played in the level 80 range but most of the game is ran through the level 1 – 79 range.

Your to lazy to do anything in the game run fractals, you can run fractals up to level 8 on a level 2 toon. But if your going to cry that

• WvWvW
  is nothing you want to do and then claim there is not enough ways to level in this game and your being serious, your lazy and or a moron or both. That is 6 ways to hit level 80.

From the looks of it and I could go on GW2 offers the most ways to level your toon, if your still not content turn off the game go outside and have a nice day.
