Actually plenty of people would be willing it do it for free.

The problem is when UO had there Advisor program everyone who applied agreed they would help others for free. There was a big class action lawsuit against Ultima Online and they ended up having to pay all everyone who said they would do it for free because they ended up giving one of them some free game time (payment). Since they paid one they had to pay everyone and they ended up losing a lot of money. This lead the MMO industry to avoid giving a volunteer player base special privlages like a GM to help others.

So your saying ANET is to poor to pay for a few gm’s per server?

The problem with finding people who will do it for free is finding quality people who will do it for free. There are plenty of losers with false ideas of superiority out there and they would be the 1st to volunteer.
