Hey..i want to let u know guys that u did a great job with this game but lately i am geting frustrated with fractal. After doing a fractal lvl 48 that last like 1-2 hours with good group and am geting bad loot and also no sfractal skins and this makes me to quit doing fractals. I hope u guys do something about this because is really frustrating.

I really hope so too. Though I can understand why fractal weapon skins are rare, I do also understand why getting a specific skin can be a pain in butt.
The thing that bothers me is that I can spend 1-2 hrs doing a high level fractal and not even get 1 rare, when I can do maw in 1min and get a guaranteed rare, often more than 1.
The final maw chest should have a guaranteed rare. The bonus chest similar to world events can be applied if over-farming is thought to become an issue.

Took a month or so break from running Fractals, hit the AR Cap and couldn’t get past 40. Now with 45 AR I went back in. My first run I got 2 Rares and account bound exotic soldiers amulet. My second run I got 4 rares and account bound medium exotic chest piece with soldiers stats. This could be due to the fact that both runs unlucky had the dredge frac in it, more drops more loot but those were significantly better yields than when I used to fracs daily.

I also agree with the fractal weapons, I have a Fractal Trident, Warhorn, Shortbow…all items I don’t use -.-

Even though they say it doesn’t happen, it appears Fractals are hit by DR too. The longer you run them, the worse your loot gets. If you take an extended break from them and come back, your loot is better for a little while then tapers off again.

Of course, everyone will say RNG… blah blah… but this happens way too often to be a coincidence.

I agree with this but as if it would ever happen, Anet love the people that log on for 20 minutes a day to do a world boss or whatever.. not people that put any real time into it.

I have always gotten the same loot from fractals. Sometimes less good sometimes better. I never did a fractal above 30. I either got cores or rares. Sometimes exotics. I always have some unlucky runs and some lucky runs but it never kept getting worse. Many people say cores aren’t worth it but I think they’re a great reward (depending on which cores). However when I compare those runs how long they take with what I get:
(<10 – 30min; <20 1h30m; <30 2h30m; <30 3h)

It’s just like the reward for jumping puzzles. Not worth it.

I get, on average, 1g from a 1h 40min fractal run(48). meanwhile, cof yields 7g an hour and is substantially easier. what I’m doing is ~12 times less “rewarding”. it also requires specialized gear and a time investment to get here.

I get, on average, 1g from a 1h 40min fractal run(48). meanwhile, cof yields 7g an hour and is substantially easier. what I’m doing is ~12 times less “rewarding”. it also requires specialized gear and a time investment to get here.

I typically get 1.5g from 45 minute fractal runs, and those are on the lower difficulties. Of course CoF is more rewarding because the only thing more rewarding than CoF farming is power trading. I said that fractals is one of the most rewarding, not the most rewarding.

except it isn’t.. running any random dungeon is better than fotm.. or killing world bosses XD or guild missions whatever. it’s ridiculous. this is the hardest content in the game, should give at least 6g/h on 48. and cof needs nerfed
