Please launch an open-world PvP server
why plp will wait like 30 minutes to find a guy on a map and meaby with counter build on you and you ll get killed… other thing is the reward that is literaly divided for the guys who is fighting for that reward and can be like minimum like 3, so if u do a pvp world like that the reward must be x3 or x4, and that just ll make oportunist guild farmers, and that ll make more divition on the reward. (the reward get divided as well if all the guys are on balance builds) other problem is the guys that got more plp on the guild will always win more reward… total not just. so in pvp server u ll win less than in others for just try to kill some guys.
a thing they can do is implement a deathmatch free for all maps. but this need more balance for that.
i rememb that in LINEAGE 2 plp fight in open pvp and is cool until the powerfull clan arrives and ruin the balance, just cose they got more plp.

I think they could open one PvP server and leave it open for people to guest in it, maybe like a no-mans-land. This way, people who like to grief would have the perfect place to kill each other.
I wouldn’t allow switching permanently to it. It would be like a “vacation in hell” for those who wanted, but creating it like a permanent home for a person/guild would divide guilds and create a division in the WvW, because I imagine PvP servers should only battle other PvP servers on WvW.
How ’bout just add deathmatch to spvp..? I run a lot of wvw roaming just for killing sake, but ANET seems not to understand that people wants to kill others for killing sake, not in order to control a point (which, btw, leads to enormously bunker focused builds), not in order to achieve some objective, just because killing is fun?

There’s a reason why barely anyone plays sPvP. Anet’s continued desire to pigeonhole us in to certain play styles and stat combos for the sake of “balance” is why I never step foot in it aside from messing around with guildies, and I’m sure many others feel the same way.
I support a PvP server, and would guest to it quite often. Hell, just give us 1 or 2 zones to frolic around in without objectives and let us make our own rules. The Obsidian Sanctum change was a start, but there are limitless possibilities if Anet would only take the chance.

I love open world PvP, but the problem I have with it in GW2 is that the zones themselves aren’t really designed as anything more than a theme park ride, and therefore wouldn’t be very much fun to hunt people down in.
The only way I’d like this, is if the entire world was truly open – no more invisible walls and zone doors – and down leveling were turned off.
As is, the open world PvE is just a training ground for the real game – it is so boring, so trivial with it’s stupid renown heart quests and lame events, that I think that in itself would ruin open world PvP.
I would just love an open PVp world as it is in many other games. That would simply allow me to play a trustable evil RP fighting guards and other “good” institutions. It’s so far impossible to play that role in gw2 and it is, in my opinion, a kitten bad thing that’s making me considering quitting.

Also most of the time higher level characters just camp out in lower level areas to gank people when questing or leveling and not giving them the chance to explore and take in this amazing world without the fear of somebody coming up and stabbing them in the back for no reason but to kitten them off. Thats not fun and ruins the appeal to, to many people.
Tera tried to do it with their outlaw skill book but it just ended with people being exiled from the rest of the game.

The factions problem is simple, guilds. You cannot attack anyone in your guild/party.
The ganking problem is already fixed, PvE servers.

Not going to happen. There is a reason we have WvW, it is precisely to appease those who like more open PvP.
The simple reasoning for not having open world PvP is that 1, it makes no sense lore-wise to be attacking allies, and 2, most players don’t want to be randomly assaulted while trying to play. You can suggest the ability to turn it off, but then honestly you may as well go into WvW… WvW is exactly what you want -_-
