I disagree. Then again, I don’t really think anything should be soulbound at all.. but I’m probably in the minority on that.

Putting anything on the auction house takes money out of the economy because of the listing fee.

I don’t know why the idea of someone buying a legendary offends you so much. You have the option to as well.

I don’t see any reason to make legendaries bound on acquire. People want to spend hours and hours making uber-weapons — why shouldn’t they be allowed to sell? People prefer to do things they enjoy and acquire gold (but not the scavenger hunt) — shouldn’t they be allowed to purchase those same weapons?

Also, the current prices aren’t indicative of the future legendary market: only a few people can craft a legendary and only a fraction of them would be willing to sell — this makes the supply tiny. Similarly, the number of people that could afford to pay premium prices to be among the first to wield a legendary is tiny. Things will change as more of us gain wealth, as ANet makes adjustments to the supply of materials required to craft, and so on.

Why’s it even a big deal? I get they are the big shiny everyone would like to have. But there are so many baddies running around with like Twilight and Sunrise who are dropped in 2 seconds because they doge worse than r3 dmg guardians who think they are paladins.

Just because you can sell it doesn’t really effect the game, and I see no real rational reason for people to be kitten by it.

“but it’s about the accomplishment” if you grind that gold. That’s still the same accomplishment but in a less specific way.

If you pay real money (LOL @ U, IF U DO!) then that’s a RL grind xD

just let it be cuz you know that if you don’t have a legendary right now, or anywhere near the mats to make it, you prob can’t buy it either.

someone wroks their kitten off to get a legendary and decides they wanna sell it is no buisness of anyones but they sellers. Cry elsewhere about what some dudes doing with the pixels he spent ages grinding for. its his item, so his choice. Deal with it

I don’t have a problem with it because its a purely cosmetic upgrade.

You might have a legitimate concern with it making people want to buy gold from a 3rd party source. But should we really change a game mechanic to de-incentivize having gold which can be obtained form many sources, some legitimate and some not including 3rd party sellers. Or should be get to the root of the problem and focus on getting rid of gold sellers in the first place.

i’m tired of people QQing because they can’t buy a legendary, everyone is free to do whatever they want with their legendary.

I’m not too sure why a lot of gears are soul bound really. And if you get hacked, the hacker simply sells them for gold. Nothing is being stopped there with soul bound. And if you stop legendaries from being traded, means that you are limiting how people can play this game. I personally will earn my own legendary item. But that’s just how I play.
