Please make monthlies doable by newer and casual players. I’ve done all the soloable requirements but one for this month and haven’t even seen a dungeon so I assume that group play doesn’t kick in for a while… heh, today’s the last day and I’m out of luck….but just doing dailies will take forever to get enough to get something….but I’m enjoying doing them and usually have enough time to complete the dailies.

It seems like it would be good business to allow flexibility for this one system so it is doable by solos and casuals…always better to keep as many as long as you can. I accept that since you’re going hardcore, the casual’s days are numbered, but that would maybe keep a few a lot longer.

I would think that, now that Dailies have been given more flexibility, we may see a similar system introduced for Monthlies. And I certainly would have no issue with that… especially if it makes the Salvage requirement optional as well.

they took WvW out of the Feb monthly and it was the first one I finished. They aren’t too steep by any means, but they also aren’t intended to be finished by new characters.

Just because it’s multiplayer doesn’t mean you have to do everything as a team/party.

I’m pretty sure most of the people in this game don’t role play either.

Just because it’s multiplayer doesn’t mean you have to do everything as a team/party.

Just because it’s called “monthly” doesn’t mean you have to do it every month.

Never said you had to do Everything as part of a team or party, I was simply pointing out that as an MMO you should never expect to be able to do complete every aspect of the game through solo play..

It is pretty much common sense..

So wait, I want to get this straight. You’re too low level to do dungeons, meaning under level 30, but you need to get the monthly done in order to get cool stuff? The only thing you get from Dailies and Monthlies that makes a difference is Laurels. The only thing you can get with Laurels that takes a significant amount of time to obtain are Ascended Gear, and Ascended Gear is level 80 exclusively. Anything else you can get in a week of dailies.

What exactly is it that you need? Just play the game and don’t worry about the Monthly, it doesn’t make that huge a difference if you miss it.

If the monthly had the same flexability as the dalies do now that would make it a lot more fun to work for. Well for me anyway.

Dungeon runs are about the least fun activity I can think of so I just don’t worry about the Monthly Achievement. I don’t even know what the reward is. If anything though, Fractals and dungeons should be included in the same category…they are both basically dungeons anyway.

You don’t NEED laurels to play this game and see all content. You don’t NEED laurels to enjoy the game. Laurels are a bonus. Lack of laurels won’t keep you out of anything.

I almost ended with this very statement, which would probably be the perfect situation. The only reason I didn’t was because I didn’t know the actual situation you were in, and it’s possible to level a single character to 80 in very little time if you’re dedicated to just that.

Since you have no need for the expensive items until you reach 80 anyway, and no way to use them, this would actually be an ideal situation, so I don’t see the problem.
