This would help out everyone with bank issues. I understand that you want people to spend gems to buy more slots, but even add an option to increase the stacks with gems or something.
It would be cool to spend gems to get higher stacks in the collectibles. Anet would get their gems, and OCD people like myself would have a cleaner bank.
If we need more than 250 of something, it needs to stack more than 250.
Glimmering dust for those after bifrost? (750)
dungeoun tokens? (300+ for weapons/chest/pants)
that’s off the top of my head.
I say remove the limit on the collections tab stack size all together.
Rice not being stackable over 1000 is a disgrace to basic physics. >:(
If would remove stack limit then I will pay gem for this upgrade immediately!
Or just allow me buy more bank slots, I think I expanded the back slots by 6 / 8 times? Then it hit the limit. But each event ANet just offer different weapon skins / cloths / potions so how it is possible to store them all?
The only reason I can think they picked such an odd number (as opposed to 100, 500 or 1000) is because it is just under byte max value, which is likely used to conserve database space.
If you want more space for your materials, use the bank space.
If it is full, buy more with gems. Stop being entitled.
No bankspace, no materials. What so hard about that?
ofc removing the limit would be ideal, and we know anet don’t rly like that, but I would gladly pay the gem fee to increase the limit

I like this idea. I admit, I’ve replied without reading the others and often times an idea could spark a great conversation so I’ll read it after posting this.
This idea makes sense to me, it fits into the scheme and would allow them the ability to do 1k, 5k, 10k? Who knows.. I could be for gem spend and it would be nice to have the ability to stack a lot of stuff. If we play this game as long as I hope we all do, we’re gonna need something like this. Great suggestion!

Correct. In other games such as the original Zelda, a stack is actually 255 =)
The “simple” suggestion of 1000 stack size, comes with an insane cost in HDD space.
This game is based on micro-transactions. Buy space.
i would love a stack increase too, to like increase it to just do another bytenumber if needed (although that may be a bit too much i geuss? that would afterall give us 32k approx xD, so maybe 1-2 bits for each expansion (and probably cost a little more than a normal bankslot, though not too much since it would add more space really, but that space be a little less flexible)
totally removing a limit would never be a feasible idea, at some point if you did taht the system would bug out and write some absurd errorlike code that would make no sense to 90% of the ppl in the game, and might even make us actually loose all we had there :P)

You’re making the assumption they haven’t bought all the space there is and filled it with something or other already.
I personally have all account bank space filled.
6 full of ‘character specific’ dyes…1 loaded out with food for cooking that won’t go in collections and can’t be used at my current cooking level, and one space to work with for everything else…I am currently filling tier 1-3 worth of extra crafting materials up to 500…plus all the other random things that have no place to be stored.
I also have 7 character slots and crafted 15 slot bags for all of the characters and even bought an extra bag slot on one character with gems. (5 level 80’s, 1 75, and 1 64.)
I’ve already got a thread suggesting they make dyes account bound going (which would give me all that space back), so the only other solution I see is that they raise collections or give us even more account bank spaces to buy with gems.
This thread has my support.
Could it be available to store dungeon tokens in a collectible bank with no limits, 9 dungeons, WvW token, 2 kinds of token in fractals.
12 different tokens, if we play in guild we often help mates in a dungeon and we get tokens, we can’t sell them, we could exchange for a gold or something but if we want one day to have the armor corresponding, it should be nice to have stored all the token we made before.
And the 250 limit is too short at least for the tokens because any armor require more than 1300 token which is corresponding to 6 slots.
Thanks a lot ^^
I wonder if it is a bit size thing, so 250 was the closest round number to the he 256 threshold?
