I’m probably gonna get flamed / bashed about this,
but i hope Anet knows that everyone using COF (Citadel of Flame Dungeon) path 1 to farm for gold. It yields about 3 to 3.5 gold per run depending if u use food buffs.

I do it myself, and while it is nice to get gold, i feel that this goes against
the idea of having fun. Personally i find it a lil sad that we players have to
resort to do this because of the terrible loot found elsewhere and i hope Anet can look into this. Grind grind grind grind for gold is killing my interest fast.
Everyday, i’ll just log in, do my daily, run 5 runs of COF and call it a day. sad.

If COF P1 is designed to be farmed like this, (which i suspect is to probably keep gold farmer rangers contained within and not out in the open world) Then PLEASE remove the annoying world event timer that locks the COF waypoint and entrance. Might as well make it open 24/7. Quite annoying to have to guest to other servers and find that all servers are also contested.

They nerfed the rewards from almost every other part of the game so if they nerf this the forums are going to be epic qq. That is basically the main way players make coin to buy stuff now so messing with it is going to make lots of players mad.

Im not trying to flame, but why does everyone want to nerf cof1 if the loot sucks everywhere else. Why not just post a ‘increase quality loot’ thread.

It actually gives about ten gold (Keep in mind the money you get from the bags and the fact that you can salvage cowls you purchase with tokens for ectos) an hour if done right, alongside the money from extra rares/exotics/???.

I honestly think it shouldn’t receive a nerf. Not yet. Why? Because I have only done the speed run with a guardian and soon will be making a warrior for it. It is the driving force for me making my warrior. I do not want that encouragement to go away.

However, for the good of this game’s future, please improve on your loot and nerf this dungeon. I come to GW2 to have a good time, not to grind 5 runs daily for gold. I do that everyday at work already.

I totally agree with you and you guys deserve better rewards for playing the game. I truly hope enough players quit to send Anet a message about the bad loot.

I just spent 10 minutes with a friend killing off a Champion, and what loot did I get? zero. She got a blue name set of gloves.

Meanwhile, if we’d run CoF p1, we’d have made a whole lot of silver if not gold.

That is how stupid-imbalanced loot is.

nerf cof path 1?no, lets make it more difficult and gated.

Put closed doors before every event instance so it cant be skipped. Put a closed door just after the bridge part. Make the players kill the flame guard and the 2 sentinels before the door is open. Do the same on the gate controller. Yes make one person still destroy it , but then the players have to kill that veteran flame thrower guy.

There needs to be ways to stop the rhythm of farming. Random effigies that show up out of nowhere and close all progressing doors forcing the players to kill him.

I used to run full ac runs for cash but after the nerf I don’t even go near it. I suspect if they nerf the dungeons too much people will rage and go back to Orr, then get bored and quit.

All PvE Champ should drop like 10-15silver, and Vets from 5-10 silver XD therefore people can have parties grinding maps after maps. But people can grind CoF if they prefer doing that.

It should be a request to buff other dungeon path loots to compensate the difficulty/time it takes to do them.
