I noticed that the ability to preview any piece of gear on any character has been removed.

Please restore this feature.

I have a ranger trying to achieve 100% world completion. As she goes I find several karma heart vendors that sell gear.

I have a guardian and elementalist that will never reach 100% world completion. However, I’m having a hard time find gear with art that I would like them to wear.

The ranger would be ideal to act as a model. This would allow me to see appearance of the other items sold by the karma heart vendors. Knowing this would give me and others greater options on customizing our characters appearance.

The devs have mentioned this, it’s a “work in progress” bug. They are rebuilding the previews in a way that lets them use previewing on the TP (which is good), but in the process it broke cross-class previewing (which is bad), but it should work again once they get everything working (which is very good). They might even have it fixed by the next major patch. In any case, it’s not currently working as intended, so don’t worry.

I really don’t understand why the live system has to get worse before it gets better… as a software developer I would not have done it that way myself. It seems to me that the change managements is a bit off there.

But I am glad they are bringing it back and adding the Trade Post preview feature as well. Thanks for the info Ohoni.
