Please remove fall damage
While I definitely find it inconvenient at times..
We would miss out on all of those fantastically entertaining deaths, as well as the ability to knock people off a cliff to their demise. I am not so sure I want to lose that.

When Im running to Cliff tower from citadel, I am always falling and dieing .
It’s easy to find the safe routes there, and most anywhere. I guess if you run a low HP build it can be more risky, but fragility comes with its risks.
I don’t have a problem with falling damage. You shouldn’t be able to jump off a 100ft high cliff to escape battle and not pay a heavy price, and, if you use the right skill at the right time to send someone off said cliff, you should at least get the satisfaction of knowing you killed them.
The only problem I have with falling damage is that it puts us in combat.
Falling damage is fun. If you want you can use traits to redude it. If not then just be more careful. Would ruin a lot of fun especially with jumping puzzles where you can die.
Lovely, another person unable to play the game the way it’s intended asking for an integral part of the world design to be altered to suit their lack.

I don’t mind fall damage being in the game, I would however like to see something added though.
If you fall from a height far enough to just kill you or kill you within a certain % of your points, I would like it if you could attempt to Dodge/Roll. If timed perfectly (I’m talking the kind of perfect it takes to get a Dodge to count towards your Daily vs a single attck) it could shave like ~5% or so from your fall damage.
It wouldn’t help you if the fall was so far that it could kill you twice, but if you had 23k health and the fall got you for 24, 150 health, a perfect dodge could leave you flat with a sliver of life.

That drives me crazy. Sometimes I’m in my town clothes and just want to jump for fun. Then half way through, my armor pops on and it totally ruins what I had in mind. :P
But I agree with everyone. Falling damage is a realistic part of the game that I like.

Were playing in an PvP environment to fight other players and capture objectives and we have to worry about dodging off a cliff in a fight and dieing? Why would Anet even put in a cliff high enough to kill players.
I missed the part where ANet forced you to climb precariously up a cliffside. If you’re having trouble navigating some of those heights, I suggest being more careful or doing what you can to avoid them.
You need to be conscious of your surroundings, especially when those surroundings are deadly. I don’t see that as being an unreasonable requirement.

I don’t know what to say, other than… I strongly disagree. This is not Flat Wars 2, and the world would be a lot less interesting if the terrain were nothing but level plains in all directions. Deviations in height and elevation are natural things, and to be expected in any well-realized environment. Hills and mountains are real, you know. They happen. WvW is not about keeping everyone safe, and protecting us from our own mistakes. It’s a dangerous place, and that’s partly what keeps it dynamic and interesting.

Falling to your death is you’re own fault. Falling damage is entirely avoidable, you should have to know the enviroment you’re fighting it. Some classes can take more advantage of this such as necro or warrior but thats the game. If someone can actually force you to fall to your death then they outplayed you most likely, nothing wrong with that. Plus it adds stategic initiations to those who think ahead and strays away from the dull circle face off many people try or the pathetic “insta-gib” encounters where you just turn around and melt their face off for being a kitten.

What class do you play? I’m fairly certain each class has a single trait that let’s you take 50% fall damage and proc an ability when you do take falling damage. Learn the terrain, then use it to your advantage. It’s as simple as that. I’d be furious if ArenaNet even clicked on this topic, regardless of whether it was for laughs or not. Fall damage makes this game anchored to reality in one of the biggest possible ways. If I jump off of a four story building chances are I’m going to make a nice paint job on the sidewalk, and I don’t see why this aspect should be removed from the game other than “it’s inconvenient”.
Without fall damage, I wouldn’t be able to scare an entire enemy zerg off a cliff and kill them.

No. I can blow people from a cliff now with Big ’Ol bomb (engi toolbelt) once blew 3 people off a cliff. Epic fun!
I no Agree. The damage from Fall is very true, real, if you fall from a palace you can’t survive. When you escaping you must calculate all method from escape and fall is one of this, but you must calculate a other thing: you can survive from here or not? this allows much adrenaline for you and decide quickly! very fun no see if you survive or not, example from a zerg of 50 people ?
