Please stop the ambiguous update notes
I do hereby sign and if need be will get a countersign to this end, thanks for your time.
Speak for yourself. Don’t drag others into your qq.
There you are, fixed it for you.
I actually agree with this. I’ve played Rift for the last year and a bit and I’ve been spoiled by their patch notes. I would love to see Anet do something similar.
Nerf Bat says no…they are not gonna tell you when they nerf something that people are doing something broken and getting a reward fairly easy for doing said broken thing.
Back in GW1 my guild would always try to figure out what was broken that they fixed in the last patch that they did not tell you was coming….or tell you what they did.
I think its to not tell the people, who are not thinking of doing stuff that some of these bugs require to keep you from trying to test other areas of the game by giving you ideas.
Like for instance, the presearing area in GW1 players could Not go to their guild halls, they introduced a new button so people could watch PvP battles and somehow people found out that they could get to the guild halls this way.
A lot of of max level items made its way back to presearing though what became known as “The Guild Hall Glitch” most notable was salvage kits which where not available in pre at that time….I remember plenty of people that had them sold 1 single use off them for un-godly amounts of gold, dyes, and ecto’s.
Telling people that they fixed this glitch might as well be telling them how to look for more glitches, which if you abuse could net you a ban.

You are not speaking for me too. Somebody trying to talk for other people without being allowed to always turns me off.
Why should they bother to tell you, that they changed something to make life worse for RMT or botters? Why should they tell you, that they turned of some exploits?
They don’t want to tell us anything about new content, because they want us to explore that for ourselves.
So, yes, ambuguity is on purpose and I have nothing to complain about.

IMO RIFT has the best patch notes of all games, very informative, tells you everything that went down during maint pretty much, and it always made me feel happy to read them.
I don’t necessarily need the “We fixed so-and-so’s dialogue in such-and-such an event”, but I really appreciate seeing things like skill changes. That can make me reevaluate a skill bar that has become rusty with age.
Set a man on fire, and he’ll be warm the rest of his life.
