Bought me a total makeover consumable off the gem store last night to redo the looks of my Sylvari guardian. I’m happy this is possible now. Thanks for the implementation of these nice items Arenanet!

What I found lacking however was an option to change the glow (both colour and intensity) of my Sylvari character. I’d love to see that implemented as well. I think many people didn’t even notice the Sylvari glow options during initial character creation (I know I didn’t) and this would just be THE chance to fix that afterwards!

The kits do provide an option to change the glow color, or at least they did when I changed my sylvari last night. You are unable to preview these changes, but the selections you make do carry through. You can always go the the character creation screen to preview a color before using the kit.

You seriously can’t preview your character when you are using one of those things? ANet is making it very hard for me to want to buy gems.

You can preview your character, just not the glow in case of Sylvari. I feel a bit silly I seem to have missed the option to change glow colour and intensity but in my case the glow fortunately was one of the few things I was actually happy about for this character. I wonder in what tab the glow was hidden this time.

Also, yes ofcourse you can use a fresh character slot to preview the looks you want to achieve on the character you want to make- over but I find it hard to leave a slot available. If I’d buy yet another slot I’d wanna use it sooner or later and have the same problem again.

Maybe there’s a random bug, because it seems to work fine for me.

You have to hide armor and disable lighting to preview sylvari glow.

Note that the glow fades in an out, so it might not appear right away.
