After 5 months from launch, I was burnt out. Not that guild wars 2 was bad, but from waiting how many years for release, I simply indulged too much. So, I moved on to other games blah blah getting to the point. At some point, that one memo went F2P (looking at you Trion). In this game, there was one system that I thought was brilliant in its own right, but was kinda unfinished, the Random Adventure. When I came back to gw2 and see the server I’m on is only populated at non peak times by champ trains, I thought why couldn’t gw2 do this? The game is set up so perfectly for it, but it would take some work for sure. Basic concept, I queue solo/with a friend (level variance not an issue, but can’t queue for higher than the lowest lvl in party), we chose a lvl range, hit find, and off we go. It takes me to hirathi hinterlands, and there’s a small group of people I get partied with starting the kol/modinir chain. We finish our event chain, get queue’d automatically, and whoosh were in fields of ruin doing a seperatist de chain. So you get the point. I can think of a number of issues off the top of my head like what to do about people joining and wandering off, or handling different sized groups, but overall I feel like this would be too good to pass up on. parties could be moved between servers like the lfg tool or guesting, and once you leave the party you would be moved to your location pre-queue. A possible solution to players wandering off might be akin to adding an invisible kick barrier similar to instances. Anyways I’ll leave this here and see if anyone can add to it. See ya!
