I think that porting to the capital city of one’s race should be free of costs.
That way ther would be more live in alle the cities, currently everyone travels toLion’s Arch only.

I’ve heard this suggested before. I doubt it will ever happen though. But who knows? Maybe A-net will get a wild hair!

Thing is, not much happens in your capital city once you leave for LA.. At one point, everyone has to go to the Grove to talk to the Pale Tree, that’s about it.
So, currently people just WvW → LA to avoid the WP cost. Not sure what difference Capcity → LA would make..

I think it won’t change anything. What we really need is to add some content, which would make them really worth to visit. Now it’s like this:
Lion’s arch:
+ located in the middle of the Tyria (less wp costs),
+ fractals of the mists,
+ world vs world and spvp portals,
+ mystic forge,
+ dungeon token merchants,
- eternal overflow.

Racial city:
+ racial city,
- everything else.

Since it is easy to bypass the LA waypoint cost, they should just remove the extra loading screen and make travelling to LA free. It would literally change nothing except provide a convenience.

And, to add to the convenience more, just make all the capital cities free to WP to, so you don’t have to waste loading time going to LA to get to whatever city you want for free.
