Problem #1: Overseas guilds carrying servers to victory by nightcapping and player vs wall.

Suggestion: Limit Europeans to European servers. Americans to Americans etc. 98% of people playing have lives outside of the game and like to sleep at night. Waking up to, or coming back from work to find that the server with the most foreigners has taken the whole map and all orbs is single-handedly ruining WvW. Sure people can stay up, but the vast majority wont and they will be in the minority and not make as much of an impact.

“Oh but you should use strategy and recruit overseas too!”

I’m a casual. I don’t have a guild and the vast majority of players are NOT going to bekittento suddenly go hopping around the internet trying to recruit people just so the game mode can actually be FUN in the first place. This is a game. Not a war simulation. The primary aim is to have fun and the current state of things are NOT working.

Or you know if you’re on any server BUT HoD or Vizunah try getting matched with them for 2 weeks or so and see how much you like the game mode then.

Limit time is not an option. I refuse to let the game decide when I play when I have a wonky schedule.

If you are not going to recruit people oversea or players that play at night, then you don’t deserve the overnight army to protect your keeps.

All I see here is qqing.

Read it again please. No one talked about limiting the time. If you’re an American, you play on American servers any time you want. Same goes for any other region.

If you expect that GW2, a game they have tried so hard to make accessible to more gamers, requires that players comb through the internet to find foreigners to their region to save WvW from breaking itself… well I’m not sure what to say.

All I see is someone who hasn’t had his server matched up for days against juggernauts who take the map when no one is there. Just wait until you’re on the other side of the fence

24 or 48 hour games, 168 hour games are too long

a reset button every now and then gives lesser servers some hope

what about Aussies/oceanics? where do they go?

to win in WVW, you need a 24/7 presence. if you refuse to get a 24/7 presence, then you will lose to a server that will.

Create a special currency for WvW. Remove repair costs from WvW. Remove items drops from WvW. Leave the xp so people can level, and leave the vendors with gear that can be purchased with that WvW money as well. So you can still level there, and gear yourself.

It’s not a good idea that we can buy siege weapons, and other stuff with money from outside WvW. It’s not a problem now, but in 6 months, when people have a lot more money, then we will be looking at masses of arrow carts, and fields full of trebs… Of course, manned by the server that plays the most hours, and obviously has more money.

We should only be able to buy siege weapons with a currency earned in WvW. So you have to play WvW a lot to buy stuff… Not play PvE a lot to buy stuff… Sure, one server will still have more WvW money, but at least we know they earned it there.

Oh, and make it that the losing servers get more WvW currency per kill/capture than the winning server. So the losing server can buy more siege, upgrade more stuff.
