Post your ideas for new skills
Guardian: “Sanctify / desecrate”: Skill Slot. Sanctify creates an AOE pulse around the Guardian of bursts of white light. It lasts 10 seconds. Sanctify doubles the amount of boons you give and recieve (or their duration in the case of non-stacking buffs.). So if you cast a spell during sanctify that awards 5 stacks of might it would award 10. Any time during the spell’s duration you can hit the skill again to switch Sanctify to Desecrate. Desecrate causes a darker red light to pulse around you that doubles the conditions or durations you dish out.
New Guardian Skills:
Cursed Legacy – Target leaves a trail of poison wherever they go for a duration of time. This trail remains for a long period of time and harms both the target and his allies if stepped upon.
Misery – Target loses HP over a duration of time; intensifies the more boons and conditions they have.
Bane of Existence – Target becomes invisible to their allies and is unable to give and receive boons and heals.
Soul Envy – you hover towards your target with dark tentacles coming out of you and latching on your target to drain their health for a duration of time. If target does not break free of it in time, they become petrified for a short duration.
Call of the Reaper – Mark your target. The target dies instantly after a random duration of time if they do not have at least one boon up.
Sinful Living – Mark your target. For each boon that they receive during the duration of this mark, target loses X amount of HP when the mark ends.
Sanctify / Desecrate seems nice interchangeable skill :-)

New Necromancer skill ideas
1. Demise – Applies 5 stacks of torment stacks for 4 seconds, reapplies automatically if the target gets feared or interrupted
2. Afterlife (aura) (10 seconds) – Spawns a creature from the underworld at the death of your targets, each minion stays for 60 seconds. Has a chance to spawn a champion of dhuum which targets you after the enemies around die.
3. Suffocate (channeled ability – 4 seconds) – The dead grasp the target and suffocate him dealing damage per second which increases with the duration. Blinds the target at 2, inflicts weakness at 4.
New Thief skill ideas
1. Carnage – You go into a frenzied rampage which increases all attack damage/condition damage by 100% for 6 seconds.
2. Decapitate – Your target bleeds, gets weakened. After 2 seconds of the attack gets confused, blinded and tormented.
New Engineer skill ideas
1. Unstable MAC – Dangerous Poison Elixir which creates a Dark field for 10 seconds. Targets entrapped inside are dealt heavy damage every 2 seconds, the damage each enemy takes is unstable and has a 10% chance to deal damage again in aoe and also inflicts burning.
Note —- MAC – mercury, kitten nic, cyanide
2. Skull crack (Hammer skill) – Whacks the target’s head with hammer made of lutetium. Deals very high damage. Takes 2 seconds for the skill attack animation.
Note —- Lutetium is the densest known stable white material

Misery and Bane of Existance are amazing skills for a guardian, the others i’m guessing a necro’s choice :P

New Ranger skill ideas
1. Incendiary Arrows (Buff – 25 seconds) – Arrows explode on critical hits dealing small aoe damage and inflics burn.
2. Stampede (channeled ability – 6 seconds) – A random pet from your pet pool will be unleashed every 1 second. The pets have heal on critical hits and have protection while they last. Each pet lasts for 15 seconds.
3. Focus Fire (debuff) – You gain swiftness and quickness if you stick to your target (10 seconds)
New Necromancer skill ideas
1. Verata’s Gaze – Targets that are facing you corrupt from inside out bleeding (8 stacks) and you steal 1000 health from a single foe.
2. Decay (aura) – Chills, Torments and the target loses 5% of it’s hp over 14 seconds.
New Thief skill ideas
1. Revenge (counter filled skill) – Every hit you take makes you use revenge that much faster. Stuns, cripples and the next 3 hits or abilities will be critical hits.
2. Jin’ada – (passive – every 8 seconds) The next attack will be a critical with +100% more critical damage. (Active) The next attack will be a critical hit with 100% more critical damage to 2 targets beside your target.

1. Aftershock – deals aoe damage and deals additional damage to cc’d foes (knockdown, daze, stun etc)
2. Elemental Lord (24 seconds) – Gives +2 seconds of attunement linger bonus for every skill used, additionally while Elemental Lord is active, each attunement has different skills that are activated every 6 seconds.
Fire skill : Star Burst – Hits the target for high damage (single target)
Water skill : Rust – Stops enemy passive health regeneration
Air skill : Storm Djinn’s Haste – Recharges the next 2 utility skills/spells 50% faster
Earth skill : Stone Sheath – Applies protection to the caster for 3 seconds and 33% chance of applying aegis for 5 seconds.3. Ether Prodigy (aura) – You and 4 others around you are healed for 800 every second for 8 seconds. Removes conditions once every 4 seconds.
New mesmer skill ideas (passive/active) –
1. Air of Disenchantment (aura) – For 15 seconds, boons on enemies end 80% faster (900 aoe)
2. Mantra of Haste/Recovery – All skills recharge 10% faster (Passive)
All skills recharge 33% faster (Active) – 20 seconds3. Ineptitude – Interrupt the enemy’s action. additionally, the enemy is knocked down
4. Tease – You gain 15 stacks of might for 15 seconds, additionally the enemy target is devoid of getting any might stacks for the same duration.
5. Shame – The target’s skills activate and recharge 25% slower.
6. Panic(aura) – Projectiles/spells targeted towards you have a 50% chance to be redirected to another player or to another enemy.

Some Ideas I hadn’t posted in there (post got buried, like every other post in the suggestions forum).
Elementalist
Conjure Second weapon (elite): Stand still to charge for a weapon swap.
While this elite is equipped, a 2nd slot for ele’s appears
Cooldown 60 seconds.
Cast time 2 seconds (can move)
goal being for pve or wvw, some battles last more than a minute and you really may need that other part of a weapon. I find it a bit rude to leave ele as either support or dps. With this they have to decide, do I bring a powerful elite, or a easy to interrupt weapon swap? If need be the cooldown can be raised to 90 seconds or w/e seems fitting
Engineer
Static Turret(turret): Deploy a turret that causes vulnerability.
Channel (5X) vulnerability (1 stack per hit).
Vulnerability duration 15 seconds per hit.
Time between attacks 8 seconds.
Attack range 600 units.
Cooldown 30 seconds.
[2nd skill]- Create a static field around the turret, crippling and damaging foes inside.
Field duration 3 seconds.
Combo Field: Static
Cooldown 50 seconds.
[Toolbelt]- Gain a shocking aura.
Cooldown 75 seconds.
Thief
Escape route(trick)- Throw down a void.
Duration 15 seconds.
Combo Field: Dark
Radius 250 units.
[Escape]- Teleport to the void and gain stealth.
Stealth duration 2 seconds.
Breaks stun.
Cooldown 40 seconds.
Signet of Theft(Signet)- [Passive]- Steal transfers 1 condition you are suffering from to your foe.
[Active]- Gain fury.
Fury duration 10 seconds.
Cooldown 50 seconds.

not to make legendary weapons awesome and stuff.. but well a few ideas none the less :P
Bolt – Lightening fields or taking lightening damage will overcharge Bolt dealing more damage than usual
Twilight – Dark fields or dark damage taken will increase the damage and the weapon glows brighter
Incinerator – Fire fields or fire damage taken will increase the damage
Juggernaut – Light fields or light damage taken
Bifrost – Water fields or water damage taken
Frostfang – Ice fields or ice damage taken
Moot – While atleast one friendly unit dances in 900 aoe around moot, it deals more damage than usual. Secondary effect – Moot automatically glows brighter if there are any hot opposite sex characters around the wielder and also, the wielder can choose a list of songs to be played to impress them.
The Dreamer – When the pony travels across a poison field (friendly or enemy) or the character takes poison damage. The pony’s get sick.. go haywire and starts exploding randomly. Secondary effect – While there are little girl characters around, not counting asurans, the wielder goes into exemplary rage showcasing his ponies, dealing more damage
and so on…. :-)
Coming back to a few more class skill ideas —-
New Necromancer skill ideas
1. Cheat Death – Upon activating cheat death, life force becomes 100% and can be targeted to an ally which swaps your life force to thier health. example : ally – 30% health, on activating cheat death on that ally – you get 30% life force while the ally gets 100% health.
2. Discord – Can only be activated if the target has more than 3 conditions and 3 boons. Deals very high damage. Cooldown – 3 seconds.
New Warrior skill ideas
1. Deadly Riposte (Shield ability) – (Spikes across the shield) Block the next attack (meelee only, non-projectile), bleeds the target and reflects the same amount of damage.
2. Disarm (projectile) – Throw an axe from your backpack precisely knocking the target’s weapon down for 3 seconds. Removes swiftness and you cannot gain swiftness for 5 seconds after this skill is used.
New Ranger skill ideas
1. Choking Gas (buff – 10 seconds) – Arrows are dipped in a substance made by nature’s effective trees. These arrows daze a target. —- While choking gas is active, arrows projectile time is increased by 50% and cannot use any aoe skills.
