Last Night I killed a Level 30(ish) mob, which netted me 50xp shortly after gathering a Mushroom which netted me 160 something xp, which got me thinking.

I think you need to seriously reconsider your priorities when I am better off role playing my grandmother then the ‘Hero’ my character is supposed to be, Really.

how many mobs do you kill vs how many plants you pick up? working as intended and nothing wrong.

Killing a cave troll makes you a slayer, not a hero. Driving bandits from a farmer’s fields makes you a nice guy, not a hero. Saving the world from extinction, via your personal story, makes you a hero. And it also showers you with experience…lots and lots of experience.
