I want the option to make a profession swap.
I wish to change my level 80 Ranger with 100 % world map and all the other accomplishments onto an another profession.

Anet devs have completely destroyed the Ranger profession. We are useless now in every aspect of the game (dungeons, fractals, www). Basically in all the instances whith a group party, Ranger is nothing else but a burden for the group. We have nothing to contribute with.

At least give us the option to swap professions. Obviously you (Anet) dont want anyone to play Ranger anyway! And NO OTHER profession would like to have a Ranger in their group either!

I do not have the time nor the energy to go through all the same stuff just to get 100 % world map with a new profession. And 100 % world map is a MUST when you want to do Guild Missions. Without a 100% world map you can not do anything at all!

I have played over 800 hours with my main ranger. It has been hard to keep up with others in groups but FUN. Now, it’s just not fun being a Ranger anymore! It’s sad to abandon the Ranger, but it’s useless and dead!

I believe everybody should have the option to make a profession swap. Give us the chance to swap profession but keep the 100 % world map data and all the achievements.

Doing so would be admitting they had failed the class.

And no one wants to admit they are wrong.

That’s a can of worms I don’t see ANet opening, particularly armor- and weapon-wise.
If someone has a ranger in full exotics + legendary bow (for example), and decide they want to switch to an elementalist, I just know there will be an outcry when they don’t get equipment of equivalent value and relevant specs/usability.

PS: you don’t need 100% map completion unless you’re going for legendary weapons

I don’t get why people are complaining about rangers, we are awesome in wvw, and its still my favorite class to play. One of my friends even started one because he has seen me kick kitten in wvw.

At this point, I don’t care about my full exotics / ascended gear. What use are they when the profession it self is broken and no one wants to group with you?!!??!?!

I’m that poor sucker with a legendary bow and like 4 sets of exotics on a ranger. ANet, give me my kitten back so I can put it on a toon you didn’t completely butcher and fail on.

I play as a ranger and group with rangers all the time. It’s a decent class, the only real issue I have with it is the shortbow nerf from the beta weekends and the fact the pets are only slightly more useful than a bowl of treacle at a diabetic conference.

If you wanted an instawin class, go play a warrior. Sounds like you just got bored with the class.

do you need vista, pois, skill points and hearts for guild missions? no

all you need is waypoints, and having all waypoints is nowhere close to 100% map completion.

All of you rangers need to understand the difference between “my favorite class” and ranger compared to any other profession by means of dps/cc/support!

I love(d) playing a ranger. But you have to admit, all the flaws and shortcomings of the class now weighs far more than the fun factor! You can all read the Ranger forum for more details.

My wish is to swap my level 80 profession with 100 % world map to another profession and still be able to do guild missions. Not be forced to use time to reach 100 % world map again. The loss from gear is acceptable. But not everyone has the time get 2 level 80 characters! That’s my point!

I don’t need 5 or 8 level 80 characters. I just have the time to make 1 character and play the game with that!

Honestly, I think they should just grant this request as it’s what they want anyway. It’s clear that they don’t want people playing Rangers so just do it already. Give Rangers a free class swap and an amount of gold based on their level to cover gear.

Then just remove the class and be done with it. I’m tired of them just slowly destroying it month by month in attempt to get people to stop playing it. I love my Ranger but I know every month that the patch will take something else away from me and I’m sick of it.

I’ll just play my Warrior and Guardian which is exactly what they want anyway.

I’m a warrior, and just last night I asked my guild who wanted to run some fractals.
No joke, 4 rangers from my guild joined me. We were all so scared at first….
It was the fastest fractal run I’ve done. Little downs, and all that great stuff.

People that hate on ranger, have never seen one geared to do damage. Its perfect.
Stand far away, hit high numbers, and pew pew pew, dodge dodge dodge.

As a warrior, I ran an evading balance build. (most of my skills allowed me to either know when to dodge, or just did a dodge for me. <3 endure pain)
