Guild Wars 2

I noticed there is a serious lack of armor variety (most noticeable medium armor), you can’t really tell professions based on armor only. Was there any talk about introducing profession based armor? Could be legendary or something hard to obtain, but it would be nice to represent my profession with armor, too.

For example, Thief lacks a really Thief-like armor, so something like this would be welcome (without the cape of course, capes get sucked into jet turbines)

YES, YES, YES! You could do that in GW1 while in GW2 you can’t and it’s a thing that I (& a lot of people I’m sure) miss a lot.. Please do do this. One of the reasons I didn’t make a thief among the iniciative is the fact that I look like an ele running around with daggers which looks stupid to me. Would prefer that every profession has it’s own set of armor. Starter/ascended/legendary..

I would like profession themed armor for ascended and legendary, but only if it is still wearable by other professions. So we would get 2 totally different styles of heave, 3 different medium and 3 different light each having the distinctive theme of “hey this would kook good on my thief!” But could still be worn by a ranger or engineer.

At the moment armor is designed to not have one specific profession´s flair so other professions are not ignored with it.
They should give us armors with a profession centered flavor. Look at mesmer armors from GW1, or GW1 armors in general. Armor design wasnt pidgeonheld into a neutral design and armors were more interesting.
