Would anyone else buy a scroll that lets you restart your max level character as another profession from level 1?

After almost a year of playing this game and maxing all 8 professions I have found that I no longer enjoy playing my main. And that my favorite profession turns out to be the alt which race I just don’t enjoy playing as. Its starting to become a little depressing.

It would be nice if the gem store would let us restart our old characters from level 1 and keep all game progress and unused skill points. I wouldn’t mind having to buy all new exotic armor and weapons again.

I guess just creating another alt with the race/prof combination I want and making it my new main would be the simplest answer, but then I wouldn’t be able to use the infinite gathering tools, legendaries and gem store skins that are currently soulbound to my main.

Also by starting again from level 1 it would prevent people from just jumping ship from profession to profession because of skill updates and such.

That is an interesting idea. If Arena.net has any qualms about allowing players to change classes at will then making them level 1 in the process would certainly eliminate those qualms. This could also have the bonus of allowing a race change and reset the personal story while getting to keep your wvw rank and legendary weapons.

I think the coding is a problem, from resetting all skills and so on, but I know nothing of it.

Not a thing I would use atm but if I where to be in OP’s possition I would realy like it so I support this idea.

would be very nice for ppl which got legendaries and dont like their proffesion anymore XD

It would also give me a reason to use the new Experience Scroll you get every 5k points, I currently have 2 just taking space on my bank.

I have been wanting this since the game came out. I have had to delete my characters to restart… which sucks, so I completely agree with this idea. I don’t see anything that arenanet needs to worry about because you aren’t switching professions on the go at lvl 80, you are restarting at level 1.

No, I’d rather start a new character!….

This would only be acceptable if it were the same price or more as the character expansion slot.
