[Proposal] WvWvW score

Few more attention, plz. Not “make it count as kills” but count it as often as kills happens.
Lets see. You cant win just killing enemy because score growth depends of number occupied facility. AND! You cant win just capturing defenseless keeps and towers late at night because no defense means no kills and no counting score. Kills for counting ticks. It seems fair enough.
Hide the score all together. Show it the first day, the third day, and the last day. All any server needs to do is stomp the other two in the first day to get a lead, it annihilates the morale of all the other players on both servers and nobody shows up except the people who love WvWvW regardless.
People check the score, go “Oh we are in second/last place, kitten it I’ll go farm/craft/explore” etc.
Hide the score and make server transfers permanant. There is no reason to be able to swap servers every 24 hours, especially for free.
Actually this is probably a good idea. People will be more focus about enjoyin the WvW rather than being obssessed with the score.
And we would have whiny posts once a week when the score is published.

It is not as if they do that every day, I doubt they can afford that many golems all that often.
And I dont see how it is hurting your WvW experience if they troll once in a while.

Oh come on, that isn’t even the slightest bit funny to you? The only thing that would make me mad about that is not being able to do it first. I can’t wait till the day my guild can field 30+ siege golems so we can do jumping puzzles and swim with the Quaggun

We are wining against any server in prime time, and fine with it.
About the idea expressed in OP – nah. Will not solve anything. There is no magical easy solution. Its already discussed to death. Just add guild ranking for a players and guilds to at least stay motivated to play longterm regardless of server score.
If you want to prevent nightcaps and such, you could add more NPCs or buff them based on how many players each server has fighting. That was, if one server has a lot of players and another has fewer, the NPCs would take up some of the slack.
There are no night caps. Times zones happen. America is not the center of the universe.
I do agree, however, that there is a problem with the scoring. Why do people care about the score? Because of the win? No. Because of the bonuses. As it stands now, you accumulate bonuses over time, and quite often, people are feelings that thier contribution does not impact due to the 24/7 format of WvW.
My solution
1. Make scoring invisible to the player. Used only in ranking.
2. Currently there are 24 supply, 24 towers, 12 keeps. Distribute the bonuses such as Artisan, gatherer, ect throughout these points to add up to half of what you would get maxed out.
3. Make the castle Double your currently held buffs.
4. Every hour on the hour, note who has what keeps, forts, towers, and castle and apply the bonuses for the next hour. This will save servers from real time updates and give players a chance to use the buffs they worked for.
I liked another players idea (I’m not taking credit for it). Make the score reset every 6 hours. At the end of the 6 hours, when it resets, it awards the WvW bonuses depending on the score. So there are shorter 6 hours matches, and at the end of the 2 weeks, we can see the final score.
That would keep it somewhat hidden, while still counting for the players at that time.
This doesn’t at all affect anything other then what you see.
If people could just press a button to get a +1 score in basketball, but the score was hidden, the game would still be bloody broken.
I concure with the bonuses being tied to what you own right now. It makes more sense – if you own 75% of a world, it’d give you better access to crap (this of course being sense within a gaming world, as I doubt owning india would make you craft better, but logically you’d have access to india things that may make your crafting easier in real life, ex : techniques you might not have, silk, etc).
